The house is immersed in peace and nature. A beautiful pine forest, immersed in silence - made for the sound of cicadas - with hammocks is available to guests along with the fruit trees from which guests can draw to full hands, they frame it. The house with private garden, consists of hall, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms. In the evening it is particularly fascinating to climb the terrace to admire the night stars.

The space
The double bedroom is spacious and can use the air conditioning (for which responsible and ecological use is required) located in the hallway. Inside the room, guests have a closet to store their clothes, bedside tables and abat jour. Towel and linen kits are also available. Great for couples and families with two children For young children, a cot with protection is available. The single bedroom, if necessary, can be converted into a double or double. New bathroom. Shower stall, hairdryer, cleaning utensils are available. Hot water is always available thanks to the use of solar panels. In any case, there is a water heater that guarantees the presence of hot water even in cases of emergency. The living room is spacious and overlooks the outdoor garden. It has a comfortable sofa that in case of diamond groups or large families can be converted into a double bed. There's enough space in the same living room to introduce another single bed. A small compact stereo is available for guests to listen to music: CD and radio. The kitchen has the gas stove and all the necessary utensils (pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery). It also has a large indoor table where you can stop for lunch or dinner if you don't like to stay outdoors. From the outside you can climb the roof where you can sunbathe (umbrella, sofa and deck chair available) or admire the fabulous night stars. Guests' cars have a dedicated parking space within the estate, under a dedicated canopy. Pertantol'car remains protected from both the sun and any adverse atmospheric agents

Guest access
Consider booking the plane on Brindisi and the rental car with airlines affiliated with Ryanair well in advance (approximately 20 to 30 euros per day). The distance from the airport to Uggiano is 60/75 minutes. Those who come by car leave in North Bari and take Brindisi, then continue to Lecce, then Maglie and Otranto. On the highway for Otranto you always go straight to the roundabout that indicates OTRANTO SOUTH. After a few hundred meters, on the right appears the indication for UGGIANO LA CHIESA. Once you leave, continue for a few kilometers to the village, finding the following points of reference: a distributor on the left, then a large roundabout, a Conad supermarket (on the left); shortly after a small church that acts as a traffic partition. Turn left for Badisco and continue straight on. You pass a roundabout and two farm stays (Agrodolce and the Taiate)until you find a small street called PIRI FUNDS on the left. Take it and take a couple of curves until you find the first house on the right side at number 8: that is the VOLPESCA estate

Other things to note
The reason why we decided to make our spaces available, is the pleasure of allowing people to fall in love with Salento, as ithas happened to us. Because of this, we're excited to share our knowledge and experiences. Also, without ever being intrusive and with the utmost respect for everyone's needs, we make friends with our guests with whom we end up sharing evenings, parties, food, and dances. Salento is a magical, enchanting land and captivates anyone who stays there to never leave it again. Because Salento are welcoming, generous, and vital. Because the sea (a stone's throw from our home) is one of the most beautiful in Italy. The country is the simplest in the world and precisely because of this liveable and human-sized, even in summer when the number of tourists is particularly high. In the square various events are held in summer to brighten up the evenings of tourists or honor their traditions (the festivities of the patrons, the events related to local gastronomy, the bands, the lights, the fireworks). The aperitifs become real dinners, while the restaurants/trattorias, farmhouses and farms offer a very remarkable quality/price ratio. And for those who want to make large meals of fresh fish without fainting, in the village there is a fish market where every morning you can stock up on freshly arrived fish (from SWORDFISH to TUNA and more). If instead you are greedy for sweets, the artisan pastry shops of the area are stocked with all the local wonders: pastries, ice cream, rustic, almond paste etc. Because Lecce is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and few know it; because lovers of culture, history, architecture and music cannot come, at least once in their life, in this area that remains indelible in the heart.
