I just loved staying at Margarita's. It was a perfect base from which to explore all that CDMX has to offer. It's a charming little apartment in a beautiful neighbourhood that's close to a lot of action, without being right in it. I didn't mind the street noise, as mentioned in other reviews, because it does quiet down significantly at night. Perhaps not for people super sensitive to noise, but for me, everything was totally perfect. Wonderfully hospitable hosts too - I ran into Rafael on the street one morning and felt I had run into an old friend! Lovely people, lovely stay. Thank you!

This rental was perfect in so many ways! First off, they made us feel incredibly welcome and provided us with local maps, information, and any items we may have needed immediately like water or toiletries. They were available to answer any questions during our stay, VERY accommodating. To answer other reviews: the water is most hot in the morning, we had NO issues with temperature our whole stay and I take a very long time in the shower myself. The bed was PERFECT, as I had recently broken my back a couple months prior and we walked everywhere for over a week constantly - the bed is the perfect firmness you want to help heal your back and it is not too hard as another reviewer has mentioned. Not only did I not have back issues, the bed helped heal and rest us. A heater was provided for us in case we got cold but we never needed it. The kitchen is well stocked and we used it daily, especially for brewing our own coffee every morning. The apartment itself is beautiful, private, and very secure as the building entrance is locked by two gates on the street level. Everyone in the building is quiet. You will hear noise from outside but it is a more quiet street than you would expect. The apartment was easy to navigate to using Uber since the cafe is downstairs, just use that when using uber. Everyone in the neighborhood is very friendly (as are in the entire country), so you will enjoy your stay and if you need anything, just ask someone. The location is central to everything, it is the perfect location. We loved staying here and plan to request from Margarita again in the future. This was our first visit to Mexico and are so glad we rented with Margarita!

Rafael and Margarita were very communicative and even let us check in early since our flight arrived at 6am. The location of the apartment was excellent with numerous quaint and bohemian food and art venues within a few blocks as is the chocolate museum. The artwork in the apartment was very cute and the building was very safe. Being an old building, nice and cold air does permeate into the bedroom and bathroom. The bed is pretty hard (which I personally prefer), but turned out to be a little small for the two of us. Note that it is correctly described as a full bed, I just did not realize that it would be a little small for our needs. The cafe downstairs is very good (the French Toast is amazing), but even better is Rosetta Panaderia half a block up on Havre. Pierre has some of the best pastries I have tasted in my worldly travels - the Napoleon and Hot Chocolate are out of this world. Definitely worth breakfast everyday!

This apartment is a great place to stay. There is a coffee shop on the ground floor, and all the nearby establishments have very friendly people there. It's an older apartment with a lot of charm, so don't expect everything to look brand new, but the apartment was very clean. Also, Margarita and her friend Rafael were very helpful and easy to reach by text. We were able to use the washing machine, which was great. As the other reviews mention, the water in the shower gets warm but not hot. This didn't bother me though. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great stay.
