My husband, two sons and I got this big house in 2009 so when I retired, we could rent rooms to travelers. I retired in 2013 from teaching middle school science and spent the summer traveling.
In July I went on the Trans Siberian and Trans Mongolian Railways from St Petersburg by way of Lake Baikal and Ulaanbaatar to Beijing with fellow geography teachers. In September my sister and I walked the Coast to Coast in the Lake District and Yorkshire National Parks in northern England, which I'm doing again this summer. Also, I'll visit Thailand and India later this fall.
I'd love to share travel stories with you.
Now I love to walk, hike and bike around Portland most days. Ask me about where to go when you visit. I have many maps and books about getting around Portland and the Northwest.
