Gnomaste y'all! Welcome to our little piece of paradise! Located perfectly between Knoxville and Chattanooga this little cottage gives you access to everything the area has to offer. There is so much hiking, boating, fishing, etc nearby it is impossible to list it all. Enjoy the rural setting with gorgeous sunrises/sunsets along with the amazing night sky! All are welcome we can't wait to meet you!

Special discounts offered to local artisans and those working outages. Message us for details :)

The space
Within an hour you can be in Knoxville, Chattanooga, Tellico Plains, Ocoee etc. Within 1.5 hours you can be in the Smoky mountain national park or nearby in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for any tourist activity you can imagine. Sweetwater itself is home to a beautiful downtown! We are minutes away from Watt's bar along with SO many outdoor activities! Just a lovely country setting to relax and recharge.

Inside the cottage we have local recommendations for food, drinks, drives, and attractions. A couple of them are listed below :)

Bigfoot outfitters - Benton, TN AMAZING rafting center with great guides <3

Cup Runneth Over - Sweetwater, TN great coffee, wonderful owners, and such a nice setting

Iron Works Grille - Tellico Plains TN is a great little place to sit by the river, have some food, grab a drink, etc

Friendly falls food and stuff - Wears Valley TN is another great little roadside stop. Gem mining, drinks, snacks, amazing owners, and beautiful views <3

Guest access
The guest cottage/tiny home are yours to enjoy. Please also feel free to wander around the property which is mostly fenced.

Please note we do live on site and run a small hobby farm. There are chickens, peafowl, honey bees, and dogs on the property along with whatever other animals wander this way. We are not responsible for any accidents involving wandering the yard. This may include tripping, running into a thorn bush or poisionous plant, seeing a cute animal you fall in love with, having a dog run up to you to say hello, finding an egg the chickens have stowed away, being followed by Apollo the peacock, getting a little too close the hive and being stung, etc.

For anyone with a bee or bird fear please let me know ahead of time. I cannot control the bees but they are kept tucked far away from the cottage and beyond possibly seeing one on a flower they are not a bother to guests in any way. The peacock does have a tendency of not respecting personal space and sometimes mistaking shoes/toes for food. He's friendly but not exactly the brightest. If you are not comfortable with him following you around the yard or possibly pecking you out of curiosity give me a heads up and I will keep him tucked away in his pen.

The chickens are free range. If you have such a fear of birds that this bothers you then our cottage may not be the best fit for your stay.

Other things to note
Being so close to Watt's bar we receive many inquiries for temporary employees of the nuclear plant. While we welcome long term stays please be upfront if any reservation is contingent on employer testing and be sure to review the cancellation policy prior to booking. As long as you are upfront regarding any possible cancellations ahead of time I will be flexible with the cancellation policy :)

We are in the country where it is quiet and many times the only noise you will hear are birds chirping and nearby chickens. Roosters crowing, peafowl calling to their mates (during mating season), kids playing, cows mooing, and donkeys hee hawing are frequent. Less frequently you may here a neighbor who had one to many to drink carrying on or planes/helicopters flying overhead .... even less frequent you might here music playing nearby. Generally speaking it's pretty quiet around here just the way we like it :)

We are about 10-15 minutes from town. Please be prepared and know to either bring food ahead of time or know you will have to drive a few minutes to get food. My suggestion is to take the time you have hear to really enjoy the escape from the hustle and bustle that is "town life".

A west coast born, midwest raised, eastern Tennessee living free spirit with her best friend/husband and a couple free spirited kids. Yep that's us! We love to travel and enjoy all the curve balls life throws at us. We have stayed in tree houses in the forest, yurts in our hosts backyard, campers on the ocean, and everything in between. Meeting new people and creating memories is what it is all about for us.
