Located in Yosemite West, a small cluster of the only homes inside the gates of Yosemite, the Sweetwater is your oasis of comfort after a long day of playing beneath the waterfalls and granite giants in Yosemite. The space
The Sweetwater is the perfect balance of high end luxury living mixed with the cozy comfort that a true mountain cabin should possess.
The Bedrooms: There are 3 spacious bedrooms, including a master suite on the top floor. No expense was spared on furnishing these rooms with Room & Board and Crate & Barrel furniture. Each room boasts a queen sized bed fitted with high quality linens, firm yet comfortable mattresses and mattress toppers making each bed extra inviting when you are ready to call it a night. The snowy cold winters in Yosemite are no match for the down comforters and extra blankets that are kept in each room, although the gas furnace and well insulated house will keep you plenty toasty. Each bedroom also has extra large windows, to allow you to stare out at the pine trees and the stars beyond, or easy pull down custom binds for extra privacy. The master suite enjoys an expansive walk-in closet and a private bathroom with extra large marble shower.
The Main Living Area: The centerpiece of the Sweetwater Lodge is its massive main living room with 20 foot vaulted ceilings and windows towering above you. This south facing room will drench you in all-day sunlight and the high windows will let you watch shooting stars from the comfort of your couch at night. Kick your feet up after a long day of skiing and watch a movie on the 65 inch HD television with surround sound. Or enjoy a cup of tea and book from the leather chair in the reading corner, while playing your favorite record on the record player with surround sound. This room is also stocked with your favorite board games for your group to enjoy, as well as maps and books about Yosemite that will help you plan out your next day's adventures. We also have a pack-n-play porta crib available for the little ones.
The Dining Room: The living room and dining room share an open floor plan, making this the perfect layout for your group festivities. The dining room feels extra spacious with the high ceilings and wall of windows. Sit down to dinner with your entire group at the massive 10 seater solid oak dining room table. Or pull up for breakfast at the bar that connects the dining room to the kitchen. But why eat indoors when you can dine beneath the pines?? The sprawling deck which opens off of the kitchen/dining rom has table and chairs set to the glow of outdoor LED string lights above.
The Kitchen: You will be hard pressed to find a nicer kitchen in all of Yosemite, than you will at the Sweetwater Lodge. No expense was spared in creation of this high end, stainless steel, chef's kitchen. From the SubZero refrigerator, to the marble counters/backsplash, to the Miele self-opening dishwasher, to the Kitchen Aid 6 burner stove, to the stainless steel microwave and easy to use trash compactor, the best of the best are at your fingertips. A large gas BBQ is mere steps outside of the kitchen door on the deck ready for you to grill to your heart's delight. Stocked with every amenity you could imagine, your culinary adventure awaits!
The Game Room- With a limitation on the number of bedrooms that are allowed in Yosemite, the Sweetwater Lodge is proud to have one of the only game rooms in all of Yosemite West. You will be lost in hours of fun in the Sweetwater game center. Relax on the couch and watch a movie on the 40 inch TV, or play your favorite video games on the game console. Try your hand at darts with the rustic wall mounted dart board or play some ping pong and shuffleboard with on the adjacent tables.
The Garage: We are one of the few homes in Yosemite that has a garage. You are welcome to park your car in the parking space on the right. We are also one of the only homes in Yosemite with an electric car charging station, which you are welcome to use.
