The space is listed as a private room but it is a comfortable and spacious self contained studio with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom in the Victorian conservation area of Telegraph Hill.

Less than 10 minute walk to New Cross Gate station: from there it's one stop to London Bridge and the South Bank; 20 minutes to Shoreditch and the City of London; and 25 minutes to Oxford Circus.

Up and coming Peckham Rye is half hour walk with Greenwich Park within half an hour on the bus.

The space
You will be staying on the lower ground floor of a Victorian town-house on the edge of Zone 1 / 2 of London.

The basement flat is recently refurbished and has a new everything - kitchen and bathroom included. We have endeavoured to keep things simple but ensure we provide you with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We moved here because it is a fantastic area for families, because there is a strong community atmosphere and because of the diversity of people on the Hill. The properties are lovely and there is a fantastic park within a few minutes walk with amazing views of the whole of London.

You are on the doorstep of central London: if you're here for pleasure you can get to any of the interesting spots across central London in 45 minutes. If you're here for business you can be in the City - door to door - in half an hour.

Where you’ll be

Greater London, England, United Kingdom

The stuff we like about Telegraph Hill and the surrounding area...

The Hill Station Community Cafe - great breakfasts and brunches, pretty much the centre of the local community.

Telegraph Hill Park - there are two parts, one for the kids and the other for dogs walkers (the latter has views of the whole of London).

Local pubs... Skeehans - a little rough round the edges but great atmosphere and, if you pick the right night, you might get invited to a lock-in. The White Hart pub - great selection of beers at the bottom of the hill and a late license. The Telegraph at the Earl of Danby - great roasts and a lovely fire.

Goldsmiths - the famous art college.

Head west on the bus and you come to the up and coming Peckham Rye, with lots of bars and restaurants. A bit further on you come to Camberwell, Herne Hill and Brixton - more great places to eat and drink and with the amazing Brockwell Park close by.
