Family-friendly apartment, with spectacular view of the canal and in desirable Westerpark, near Amsterdam's main attractions. Quiet, spacious with WIFI, Smart TV & all the comforts of home. Bikes available.

The space

Spacious, canalside apartment in Westerpark area overlooking one of Amsterdam’s few remaining windmills! Ideally situated on the edge of the Jordaan, Amsterdam’s prettiest and cosiest neighbourhood. Absolute maximum of 4 guests. Please note, this is an open-plan apartment without a separate bedroom! We have a strong preference for couples, mature friends and families. Groups of young people are discouraged from booking.

5 minute walk to the Jordaan.
15 minute walk to Anne Frank house
10 minute bus ride to Central Station
5 minute tram ride to Leidseplein
10 minute tram ride to Museum square
Better still, loan our 2 bikes (included in rental price)

Our apartment is in a residential area. We have hotel quality twin beds and a sofa bed so sleeping for four available. Compared to most Amsterdam rentals our flat is very spacious! The size, combined with a view onto the canal and windmill gives it a real WOW factor.

We have Smart TV with free-to-air channels, Wifi, sophisticated sound system and well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. All linen and towels and cleaning are included in the rental fee.

Our flat is in a very quiet, safe area with friendly neighbours. We would love to help you plan your itinerary so that you make the most of your visit to Amsterdam and the surrounding area. We have lots of insider tips we can’t wait to share with you!

Guest access

Guests have access to the whole apartment, communal area outside and if necessary also to the basement area where the bikes are kept.

Interaction with guests

We always greet our guests personally and if they need information or inspiration then we are happy to share our insider knowledge and ideas.

Other things to note

Elevator in the building. This is a quiet, residential area, absolutely unsuited to young groups of people wishing to party. Bikes included, we ask a small fee towards insurance costs.

Angela was a brilliant host, the communication before the booking and on arrival made our visit really straightforward. Her directions and expertises about the area were very helpful. The apartment was everything we needed for our trip to Amsterdam. The view of the canal and the quiet neighbourhood made for perfect space to both work and relax. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

From our initial enquiry communication with Angela was easy. We received clear directions to the apartment and were met by Frank who welcomed us warmly, showed us how everything worked and gave us a lively and informative overview of some of the delights awaiting us in Amsterdam. The area felt very safe and peaceful and the apartment was beautifully clean, comfortable, well equipped and warm. There are plenty of maps, guidebooks and leaflets which helped us to plan our itineraries. In the morning the sun poured in through the windows making breakfast overlooking the canal a real pleasure, especially when an occasional barge passed by! Local shops are only a few minutes walk away - it's even quicker by bike- and we found everything we needed for some self catering. Cycling was a brilliant way to explore the city and the bikes provided were great. We walked to the Jordaan area which doesn't take very long and enjoyed some good food there. We will return to Amsterdam as there is so much to see and do and 3 days simply wasn't long enough! We wouldn't look any further for accommodation as Angel and Frank's apartment was perfect for us!

Dear Angela, I would just like to thank you and Frank on behalf of myself and my friends for the warm welcome we received when we arrived in Amsterdam as well as the amazing flat that we stayed in for the duration of our Holiday. We had an amazing time and the accommodation was stunning. A beautiful quiet location overlooking the canal. You made us feel at home from the minute we arrived and we'd love to come back in the future if you'd have us again! Many Thanks Lucas

The apartment is just as it looks in the pictures, located only a short bus ride from Central station its super easy getting about. Angela and Frank were both lovely and made the whole process very easy, it was the first time I'd used airbnb and I'll definitely use it again based on this experience. My only advice if visiting Amsterdam is to book tickets for museums in advance (where you can) as it does get very busy. Enjoy!!

Lovely apartment, we really enjoyed our stay. Well equipped, open plan, spacious apartment, good views and a nice distance from the centre. We walked most of the time, taking about 30 mins to get to the central station. Lots of recommendations for things to do, restaurants to visit and Josie, who checked us in and out, was absolutely lovely. We would definitely reccommend and stay again.

Good communication with host at all times. Apartment is comfortable with all the home comforts you might expect. Lovely views of the canal. Location good away from the hustle and bustle of the centre with easy transport by bus everywhere. Use of bikes extremely useful for travel to museums and parks. In all we had a great stay and would visit again.

A wonderful apartment in every respect. Great location, views and amenities. Angela and Frank both met us on arrival and were very helpful, answering all questions and giving advice. Lovely people indeed. The 4 bikes that came with the apartment were incredibly useful. We hope to be back soon.
