Close to shopping and restaurants, only 20 minutes from downtown Reno, and great for traveling professionals, our home addition, "Camelot"--with its own separate entrance and living room--offers dormitory-style accommodations, with a "Jack-n-Jill" (shared) bathroom for every 2 bedrooms. Book a room for 1 or 2 guests or multiple rooms for a group as big as 8. Nightly rate includes continental breakfast, access to common living and dining areas, and Wi-Fi.

The space
While we would love to host you at Camelot, we'd like to set realistic expectations.... Please remember that this is NOT A HOTEL. The walls between rooms are typical of a residential home (i.e., no special sound proofing insulation). Additionally, we've chosen not to install carpet (for sanitary reasons); therefore, hallway noises can be amplified. Most of the rooms have no TV; those that do only have access to local channels or play DVD's. We've been told that the Wi-Fi can be slow, particularly in the rooms; service is best in the living room or dining area. NO SMOKING of any kind is allowed indoors; smoking is allowed outdoors at least 40 feet away from the building or inside guests' vehicles. Camelot is part of our home, and all guests are expected to be respectful of other guests and residents.

Guest access
This private bedroom has an in-room refrigerator and is attached to a shared bathroom. The living room, with cable TV, is always accessible to guests. The dining room is closed to guests between 9pm and 8am. When open, the dining room has a microwave, a water heater, dinnerware/silverware, filtered water, coffee, tea, and occasional snacks for guests. Hot breakfast is served daily between 8am and 9:30 am in the dining room. There is no kitchen or laundry access.

Other things to note
Breakfast served in the dining room from 8 to 9:30 every morning

Shopping and food outlets are within walking distance (1 mile), but we are at least 3 miles from a bus stop. We are approximately 8 miles from downtown Reno, and a Lyft/Uber ride will cost approximately $20 each way. Depending on traffic and road conditions, the Tesla/Panasonic factories are approximately 25 minutes’ drive.

Married with twin, college-aged children, I have lived in Reno for over 30 years. I became an Airbnb traveler when we went on college road trips for the twins. We recently started hosting too, as our house addition has multiple bedrooms with jack-n-jill bathrooms (in preparation for our parents when they need an assisted-living-type housing). I think Reno is an awesome place to live in and raise a family! If you'd like, my husband or I can suggest places to visit; otherwise, we respect your privacy and tend to visit with guests minimally.
