Quiet residential neighborhood - six tenths of a mile to the village center along a nice wooded path. Great in the daylight but Carmel is dark at night in the residential neighborhoods - there are good flashlights for walking at night.
You will come and go like a local. Nobody enters the studio but you during your stay. Your hosts are available but invisible.
West of Highway 1 and about a six tenths of a mile from the center of Carmel. There is a nice wooded walking path to the center of town.
Ideal location to be in Carmel and have fast access to all the surrounding area attractions - Big Sur, Monterey and its famous aquarium or into Carmel Valley for wine tasting, antiquing, etc.
Owner lives nearby. A long time resident happy to help you with concierge services. We can share some information about the Carmel area that many guide books overlook.
Hosts are 'available but invisible'. Guests have total privacy once they're checked in.
We personally welcome guests who arrive by 6PM. After that we set you up for self check in. Very easy.
Interaction with guests
We welcome guests personally and provide maps and information. After that they have total privacy but we're here if they need anything.

Lucky long time, full time residents of beautiful Carmel. Retired art gallery owner partnered with a retired custom home builder. Between us we've lived here for over 50 years and wouldn't think of living anywhere else. But...we love to travel too. This photo was taken in 2009 along the Tuscan coast when we hiked the entire Cinqueterre.
Having the free time and knowing what a destination Carmel is, we have begun a little business as vacation rental hosts. This sweet studio is our first offering and we're excited to offer visitors a chance to live like locals without having to spend a small fortune to be here.
