Description

The space

Welcome to my traditional Japanese house with stunning views of Meguro. In the heart of Meguro, with its typical Japanese atmosphere, you are minutes from both Yutenji Station and Center of Meguro, providing speedy access to anywhere such as Shibuya.
Recently renovated in a relaxed traditional style house, the house has 8 futons, and fully-equipped kitchen. Recommend for family trip or a group trip. The house itself have total 4 rooms, each room has different vide, but all Japanese vibes.

All the amenities you would hope for in an apartment are here - including a washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator.

Guest access

Although we have stipulated check-in and check-out times, we're happy to be flexible, depending on bookings. Please do not be hesitated to ask me.

Interaction with guests

I am more than willing to help you out if you have any difficulties during your stay. Let me know!

The neighbourhood

Quietly residing just beyond the city’s inner circle, Meguro District attracts commuters, families, and artists who appreciate subtle charms over sonorous environs. Tokyoites tend to visit Meguro District’s most famous local destinations, the hip enclave of Nakameguro and the canal along the Meguro River. Despite its far-away residential feel, Meguro District never seems out of touch. Organic cafes, famous izakayas, repurposed vintage shops, and musty must-see bookstores generate enough buzz to sustain this understatedly cool neighborhood.

Getting around

Yutenji station is within 7 mins walking distnace.
Yutenji to Shibuya 6 mins
24/7 Convenience store - 5mins
ATM - 5mins
Bus stop - 1min
Supermarket - 5mins

Other things to note

Airport ride is not free. There is a service charge for airport transport. Please ask me a quote. I offer you my airport pick up service and drop off service. My van fits 4 people with baggage for each of you, it costs really cheap, you can compare with my service and the public transportation system, you would see my service is much reasonable. Please let me know if you have further questions about the service.

EASY Check-in and Checkout: Happy to be flexible although we have the stipulated check-in and out times.
You will have the apartment to yourselves, with unlimited wi-fi.

Nice little place in a quieter area. It was less western and more traditional but great if you want to experience real Japan. I would definitely stay here again. Not too far from the station and there are a few restaurants and shops in the area as well.

We have not been confortable at this house. Very bad quality price ratio Pictures do not reflect reality. Outside, the house is surrounded very closely for other houses. You almost do not see the facade. Inside. Rooms are smaller . The kitchen is old, dirty, smells bad and very poorly equiped. Dining room with table and tradicional japanese room very small. Only good thing the bathroom. Plenty of hot water. Stairs to upper floor narrow and dificult for people with low movility. In general the maintennance of the house is poor. Some paper tiles of the moving walls broken. Two garbage bags in the microgarden, at one side. Wifi do not work. Two positives: Owner essy to reach and very fast answering. Very nice neighborhood, non turistic at all. Meguro river and Yutenji street nice spots Our first negative experience with Airbnb, after several positives

The place is great. Very nice secluded location and decently close to the train stop. Neighborhood is very walkable and there are a number of restaurants and coffee shops close by. Highly recommended!

We had 4 night stay in Sogi house at Meguro during the Christmas season when it's hard to find good hotel in Tokyo. We arrived Tokyo from Fukuoka the same day, but arrived close to 11:30pm due to the Shinkansen delay and the storm attacking the whole east coast of Japan. The landlord was kind enough to wait for us due to our late arrival. It was very warm. The house is comfortable for 6 people and close to JR Meguro or Tokyu line train station so it's very convenient in reaching out. A secret short cut we discovered from JR station to Sogi house was to take bus 黒06 from Meguroeki-Mae (三軒茶屋) to 油畫公園 where the bus will stop right in front of your house. It only cost 220 yen per person and 9 minutes (7 stops). It's super convenient when you want to take advantage of your JR Passport with free rides of JR Tokyo subway. From Meguro station, you can go to Shinjuku, one of the biggest shopping areas, directly. Sogi house has 3 bed rooms, 1 living room, 1 bath, 1 kitchen and 1 toilet. It's a lovely traditional Japanese house with tatami. It's an exotic experience for my kids who grew up in California, a warm up review for my parents who traveled with us from Taiwan. We love Sogi house a lot. We enjoyed the tea and family time together during the evening. The grocery store is close by, it's convenient to purchase simple items for consumption. The only minor complaint was that the portable WiFi provided by Sogi is slow and weak in DoCoMo cellular signal. It's hard to rely on that unit. Really wish this can be improved as internet access is essential for today's travelers.

It was my pleasure to host you! And thank you for your compliment ;) the coverage of the portable wifi is provided by Docomo which is the biggest company in Japan. It is mainly because of heavy usage during Christmas holiday ;)
