The apartment is situated above the Mowhay Cafe and Gallery in the village Trebetherick. 10 minute walk to the famous surfing beach Polzeath & a short walk down the lane to Daymer Bay, popular with families and windsurfers.

The space

To enter the apartment, you take the stairs up to the gated balcony. It's a real sun trap in the afternoon and early evening time. The flat is light and airy with an open planned kitchen, lounge dinner, with views to St Enodoc golf course.
To enter the main bedroom you go through a doored hallway where there is a single bed. Above the bathroom going up into the eves is a ladder with takes you up to a double bed snug. This allows you different sleeping arrangements depending on your party. The bathroom is fully fitted with bath, sink, toilet and seperate shower. There is a shaving socket.

Interaction with guests

I run the cafe downstairs but like my guests to come and go without any interference but there is always someone at hand if you have any problems or questions. If you choose too, there is a compliementry cream tea apon arrival

No problem finding Mowhay and the girls at the cafe were most welcome when we made ourselves known to them. our teenage boys were so excited when they looked around the lovely bright airy apartment and they loved the attic bedroom so much that they had to toss to see who slept there! Great location for beaches without having to get in the car. Fantastic village shop very close by and food at the cafe downstairs very good. Thank you so much to Amie and the lovely girls for making our stay so enjoyable.

The apartment above Mowhay Cafe was a perfect place to stay. It was beautifully decorated and had everything that we could need for our long weekend in Cornwall. Amie and her staff at the cafe were really friendly & the cafe breakfast was delicious. We would love to return for another stay!

The accommodation was light, spacious and very well equipped. We love the area and this was the perfect spot being able to walk down to Daymer Bay and around into Rock or Polzeath. Lots of bike hire in Wadebridge to explore along the Camel. Plenty of places to eat locally and a small shop across the road with the larger supermarkets in Wadebridge. We had a great week at the Mowhay and would gladly return.

Amie's place is fabulous! We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was in our view an ideal location. With a 5 minute walking distance from Daymer beach and 10-15 minutes to Polzeath (which you can get to by road or coastal path). We spent most of our evenings walking down the coastal path which is wonderful. You can also find Greenaway beach from here which is rocky if you wanted to do a little rock pooling. Although we didn't catch anything, you do have to time your visit well with the tide. Whilst we visited we also went on a ferry from Rock to Padstow which is a lovely day out. We also visited Tintagel castle which had spectacular views. All within 30 minutes driving or less of Amie's place. Close by is a local shop selling the basics if you are like us and forget to take them. Amie's apartment itself is beautiful, cosy and homely with a fully equipped kitchen. The only thing missing was a little freezer but it wasn't a problem I put my ice packs in the fridge. However I'm sure if I had asked Amie she would of accommodated us in some way. The bedrooms are ideal and my son who stayed in the loft room loved having his own little hideaway. It was the perfect set up for a family of 4 and we wanted to stay longer. Amie is lovely and informative and brought us a lovely cream tea when we arrived which is exactly what you need after a 6 hour journey. Her home made scones where delicious. We are hoping to visit again soon. Thank you Amie :)

We had a wonderful week staying at Aimee's apartment. Aimee was the perfect host always there when we needed her but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. The apartment was just as advertised with the added bonus of fantastic, fresh, locally sourced food in the beautiful cafe close at hand. Aimee and the girls who work in the restaurant were all incredibly charming and very happy to let us know what was going on in Cornwall that day, best beaches to visit and the all important weather report. We will definitely be back...

The Mowhay Apartment is beautiful. Warm, spacious and in a really lovely surrounding. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay and is very nicely decorated. The location is great. A 15 minute walk takes you directly into Polzeath with the beach, shops and a few pubs/restaurants. Amie is delightful. She couldn't have been more helpful even bringing us round some milk for our first day. A highly recommended place. We will definately try to stay here again.

Amie made us feel welcome and once she had showed us around the apartment offered us a complimentary cream tea in her cafe / restaurant below the apartment which was very much appreciated after our journey. The apartment is as described and is clean and well presented with some lovely artwork throughout. The area was absolutely stunning with a 10 minute walk from the apartment to either Polzeath beach (great for surfing) or Daymer Bay beach which is ideal for families and a lovely walk around to Rock with its great cafes and harbour along with the ferry to Padstow.
