This Airbnb is housed in one of Joplin's Historic Landmarks, the Frederick H. Rogers House, completed in 1905. Frederick H. Rogers was a mining entrepreneur during the peak of the lead and zinc mining era. He engaged Austin Allen, the most prominent architect of the era, to design the house to his specifications. The house features domed ceilings, hardwood floors laid in the log cabin design and imported wood trim. The Rogers family called the house home until 1917.

This was a big highlight (though it was a side stay) on our trip. Kenneth was an amazing host and gave us so much history of the area and of the house. I cannot recommend this place and this host highly enough!! Such a treat for us to stay here and meet him!!
