The windmill is the perfect place to stay for some quiet time; with 360 degree views of the mountains, and just the sounds of the birds and the breeze to accompany you, you will leave feeling relaxed and inspired.

The space
Our windmill, Moinho Da Fadagosa, may be tucked away in the countryside, but it has all the comforts you need for a great holiday. There is a small kitchen with electric hob, fridge, toaster, kettle and all utensils, there is a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, and we have reliable internet. We live in a small cottage down the hill, so we are always available should you need us. There's plenty to visit in the surrounding area, with a river flowing through the land and river beaches close by.

We are very lucky in our location: we are in a very quiet, peaceful spot where all you can hear are the birds and the breeze, but only 10 minutes away from the main road to Lisbon (1.5 hours drive from the airport) and just 5km from the nearest town, where you can get anything you need. There is plenty of hiking to be done starting directly from the windmill and there are also two river beaches a short drive away. We have lots of recommendations for things to do in the area, but you may also just want to relax at the mill on the hill.
