The space
The Art Terrace
it is a wooden and stone farmhouse, adapted to the comfort required by contemporary times, integrated with the ancient structures of the farmhouse while respecting the natural materials and the original environmental characteristics of the place.

The Terrazza Dell 'Arte is located in an area bordering the ancient Pieve di San Cristoforo, a few meters from the small village of San Pietro, on the Parma Apennines where the geographical border becomes a triune, connecting Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Liguria.

Overlooking the Valtaro at 700 metres above sea level, the location offers a magnificent view overlooking the natural ridges created by the sinuous hills, up to the banks of the Taro river that in the distance opens the horizon over the village of Borgotaro, a point of origin for diversified destinations, marked by nature and gastronomic routes

The Terrace of Art presents itself as an exhibition stage of Land Art, a sort of natural contact between heaven and earth in a geographical environment that allows the perfect integration of Art with the Earth and its main elements (wood, stone, iron, etc .), assuming all possible and impossible colors, inserted as nature creates and changes with the alternation of the seasons.

accommodation Two apartments in the same farmhouse, recently renovated, thermo-autonomous , located on the ground floor, with independent entrances.
Both accommodations respect the theme of the location, presenting structures obtained from the recovery of original architectures and made unique by the use of customized colors and furnishings, as well as pieces of art that recall the natural landscape of the area.

Where you’ll be

Borgo Val di Taro, Italy

The area enjoys a particularly favourable climate, cool in summer due to the presence of mild breezes and little humidity in winter due to the shelter allowed by the surveys upstream of the location.
From the “Terrace of Art” it is possible to move along the Via Francigena that passing in front of the ancient Pieve di San Cristoforo allows you to walk through the Apennine countryside along grass and stone paths, immersed in Nature.
Through the woods of hazelnuts and chestnuts it is possible to reach the cascade of the Termi River known as “Marmitta dei Giganti” where the fresh waters of the river have dug the rock drawing a particular and unique landscape.
You can walk along more challenging trails in about three hours to reach Lake Buono.
