Nestled in the beautiful countryside surroundings of Tapnell Farm, our luxury Geodesic Domes are set apart from other accommodation, sited in a private location with separate access, about a ten minute stroll across the farm. Their position commands the most amazing views out across the Solent to Lymington and beyond, with Bournemouth in the distance.

The space
Each Dome is accessed via an entrance porch extension which includes a log store, adjoining en-suite bathroom (shower and toilet) and separate kitchenette. The actual Dome interior is open plan living / sleeping, with a dividing wall for the bunk room. The king size four poster bed is the centre piece of the room, as well as a cosy lounge area with log burner. No need to worry about chilly nights as the Domes are insulated and each bed has an electric blanket to snuggle down under the covers.

Outside, the Domes have their own BBQ and firepit where you can relax and enjoy the stunning sea views and sunsets. Domes 1 and 5 also have a wood-burning tub, and there is a communal pizza oven at the main accommodation site too.

The Domes are a short five-minute stroll across the field, from all farm amenities.

Tom’s Eco Lodge was set up by Tom Turney at Tapnell Farm in 2012. The idea was to bring a fresh experience of tourism and self-catering to the island and resulted in the first glamping concept to be created on the Isle of Wight. Prompted by an emerging trend in the glamping world, Tom’s goal was to give everyone the working farm and unspoilt country experience. The ethos of the business allows guests to get back to nature and to spend quality time with one another, whilst still having the luxury of home comforts (hot water, electricity, WIFI, electric blankets, hot tubs and so on), creating a home from home that you can return to time and time again! We have selection of glamping, with something for everyone- Safari Tents, Cabins, Modulog, Pods and Domes. We also have a manor house and farm cottages. Guests will always have lots to see and do, including an onsite Farm Park, Restaurant, Aqua Park, Clay Pigeon shooting and lots more!
