We spent a wonderful few days with Marcia and Biscuit at their beautiful, character-filled home just outside New Lebanon - definitely our best AirBnB experience to date! The house is full of history and Marcia has decorated it with such a charming personal touch; it was a delight to spend time there after some lovely autumnal days spent driving around the New England Countryside. We really enjoyed having the whole comfortable top floor of the farmhouse to rest and relax in, while we had lots of fascinating chats and found out plenty of useful information over the breakfast table with Marcia. It was the perfect balance of personal space and great interaction with our generous and welcoming host. Marcia is a fountain of knowledge about cultural and other tourist activities in the area, recommended us some great markets and restaurants and sights to see in the local area as well. And Marcia's dog is the best behaved Lab I've ever had the pleasure to encounter - good boy, Biscuit!

...and thank you for the lovely swiss chocolate! So next go around if you give me heads up perhaps we can take the train from the city and I can arrange for Jerry Grant to give you the royal tour of the Shaker "stuff". Stay with me at special rates! I really enjoyed your staying here....easy, bright and cheery....! Safe back to Zurich!

Marcia and Mr. Biscuit are great hosts in a lovely mountain retreat. Marcia's frittata was memorable. Their home is warm and inviting and loaded with interesting art--and the master bedroom has AMAZING views of the mountains. We appreciated the plentiful towels, slippers and robes and printed info on the area, which we knew nothing about prior to our arrival. We had planned to go to an art museum a half hour away but opted to explore the area--if the weather's fine and you like low-key historical sites you will enjoy the Shaker Village at New Lebanon. Otherwise just 10 minutes past it is the Hancock MA Shaker Village, a very upscale, full-scale living history museum. I recommend both. If you like modern hotels this is not the place for you but if you love antique, eclectic character surrounded by nature you will LOVE this place.

Marcia is a great host and very caring...she made our stay comfortable and interesting! Her breakfast frittata was wonderful...made with fresh ingredients from the farm. It was great to have the entire second floor to ourselves. The bed is super comfy. And Biscuit made our stay even more fun...he's a lovable, friendly dog who loves to have his belly rubbed! A great experience....

Marcia is the perfect airbnb host! She and her wonderful dog, Biscuit, were extremely friendly and welcoming. Marcia's historic farmhouse is charming and comfortable, and her breakfasts were delicious. We couldn't have asked for anything more and wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Berkshires.

Moving from New York City in 1998 I rented this house for years before making the big leap. I love the quiet and beauty of my surroundings. I am computer person, having taught the staff at Carnegie Hall and Goldman Sachs. Enjoying good local healthy foods is of great interest to me, I love to cook and am good at it. Having lived in Europe refined my taste for a good wine with my meal.
Please tell me your interests, so I may help to make your stay restful, interesting and enjoyable. Biscuit the very mellow yellow lab is happy to have guests and loves a tummy rub.
