Where you’ll be

Cape Charles, Virginia, United States

There is a sweet Private Pond and Waterfall across the street from our Plantation Home.
ALL of the neighborhoods in Bay Creek should be respected, no cutting flowers, littering, speeding through here, or super loud music playing.
Violating anyone’s privacy or breaking the rules will mean that you have to leave. No refunds.. we hope that you understand the ongoing love that goes into all of our Bay Creek neighborhoods, and as soon as you do, welcome to Paradise. : )
A wonderful private beach is on the next street over (turning left on Bayside Ave.) with a couple of miles of shoreline to stroll along on the Chesapeake Bay. Please bring a bag with you to make sure to remove any wrappers, cans or bottles and collect seashells or beach glass . You may just want to sit and stare at the ships and boats on the Bay or seek out the dolphins playing in the distance.
There are miles of flat beautiful terrain and surfaces to safely ride your bicycles or walk through here in Bay Creek and on into Our wonderful little town..
Downtown Cape Charles, is a mere stones throw or very close as the crow flies: and is where Norman Rockwell meets Andy of Mayberry with beautiful, quaint shops, galleries, restaurants, beauty salons, breweries, distillery, cidery, chocolatier or even get a massage and just smile as you explore our hidden local gem alongside the Chesapeake Bay..
Once you visit here, you won’t want to leave..
Cape Charles is truly captivating. You nay even want to come back to house hunt. : )

I was Born in St. Albans Naval Hospital in Queens, NY many moons ago.. Yes Daddy was a Squid who was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia at the time.. During my middle age years I became a Real Estate Broker and continued for almost 18 years in upstate NY, near the Hudson River with lots of cows, corn and wineries and fantastic people. Just before coming to the Eastern Shore, there was an 8 year stretch that I ran a little bookshop that sold CD’s, crystals, incense, led meditation groups and taught continuing education credits in Reiki to Nurses and Doctors.. I’ve been practicing the Healing Arts since 1976.. woweeee, time does fly.. I came to the Eastern Shore in 2002 on vacation, and within a year, had solidified arrangements to move from NY and live here forever.. I met my forever British-American husband Jim, through "grab a granny “ for seniors back in 2010,.. After a few days of emails, we met in person and had lunch together at the Cheesecake Factory in Va. Beach.. We've been dedicated to each other ever since. After a four year whirlwind romance filled with laughter, hard work and travel we flew to Vegas and of course we were ceremoniously wed in the Little White Chapel, officiated by Elvis Presley. : ) We are adventurous so of course we bought our current home during an on line auction several years ago using my IPAD on the way back to the Shore during a 6 hour car ride from Radio City Music Hall after seeing the Rockettes Christmas Show. Really, wouldn't you? We have have worked on it a bit here and there and continue to do so. At our age, the process is a bit slower at times. We do love our Plantation Home here in Bay Creek , Cape Charles, and do our best to make our guests feel comfortable and at home.. you'll see! I really do enjoy cooking and eating food and have fun discovering all different types of items at auctions and estate sales We have furnished 2 homes from auction purchases (eclectically of course) and then sell other items that we purchase in an Antique Mall and online. We do manage to stay busy for people of our vintage era. We ran a Historic B&B - combination Restaurant and closed it 5 years ago; here in the Cape Charles area. After many repeated requests from our past guests, we finally decided to open up our Plantation Home to Airbnb Guests, so here we are : ) Welcome to our world, pull up a chair and tell me about your plans for life. ( or at least your plans for a getaway) Welcome Home
