History:

The apartment is situated directly across from St. Patrick’s Cathedral which is one of Ireland’s oldest cathedrals. It is the largest church in Ireland and dates from 1191. The president of Ireland regularly attends ceremonies there and on such days it’s possible to see the presidential entourage arriving when standing on the balcony.

It has been visited by some of Irish history's most influential individuals from Cromwell, William of Orange and King James I, to Queen Victoria and her husband Prince Albert. It is the final resting place for one of Ireland's most famous men, Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver's travels and Dean (head) of the Cathedral. It has witnessed the birth of the expression "to chance your arm" within its walls as well as being the site of the very first school in Ireland, the Cathedral Choir School. It is today the National Cathedral for the Church of Ireland a place of worship.

Cheers,

Ciaran

We loved Ciarán's place! It is truly a fantastic location, everything is walkable and St. Patrick's Cathedral is just across the street. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Ciarán was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. If I need a place in Dublin again I would be happy to stay here.

This is a great apartment in a fantastic location- a nice combination of residential, commercial, and touristy. You can basically walk to anywhere you'd want to visit in 5-15 minutes. There are lots of places to eat and buy groceries nearby. The view from the little balcony is fantastic and the fireplace is a nice touch. If you're traveling with children this apartment will be very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised that we did not hear much from our neighbors or the outside while in the apartment. Ciaran was increadibly helpful and accommodating to our needs. Check-in and check-out were really easy and getting a taxi to and from the airport was no problem at all. There is also a bus stop for like 6 busses right outside If you're traveling from the U.S., just note that this is very much a European apartment- the bedrooms and kitchen are on the small side, hot water is not unlimited, and there are not many TV stations. However, none of those things would prevent me from staying there again.

A great apartment in a great location. Near city centre but quieter than staying in Temple Bar. St Patrick's cathedral right across the street out your living room window, an easy walk to almost all sights. Host was responsive and made everything easy. A wonderful week in Dublin made even better by staying at this great apartment.

Ciarán is a great host. He answered emails promptly before and during our stay. He also provided an information packet about Dublin which he sent us prior to the trip, which was very helpful. The apartment is clean but basic. It is very well located in a quiet yet central spot with easy access to all attractions. Altogether a great stay.

Ciaran was an absolutely incredible host. He was always happy to answer any questions we had and always responded to messages very quickly. Ciaran's apartment is in the perfect location. There is a fabulous view of St Patricks Cathedral from the balcony and it's only a 10/15 minute walk from St Stephen's Green or the stunning Iveagh Gardens. The apartment is modern and was absolutely spotless. Even down to the smallest details like the first aid kit and the bowl of fresh fruit was a lovely touch. We were so impressed with Ciaran's apartment and his hosting that we wouldn't stay anywhere else should we return to Dublin.
