The Shepherds Hut lies hidden away in an idyllic and private location nestling in open farmland and yet is situated only 1.5 miles from the surf at Polzeath. With Rock and the ferry to Padstow only 3 miles away.

The space

Inside the hut is a king size bed, a gas hob for cooking and wood burning stove, private bathroom with hot shower and loo are provided in an adjacent timber building. There is a TV, small fridge and cooking utensils. Cutlery and crockery too. All linen and towels are provided. Immediately outside the hut is a fire pit / BBQ area, for the total "alfresco" experience. Please note there is an outside tap , attached to the timber building , for filling up the kettle etc.

Guest access

Guests have access to the Hut, via a private drive, which it is tucked away down the far end of an old farm track. There is a timber building nearby where you will find your own bathroom with a shower . We do have wifi .

Interaction with guests

We live on site and are very happy to help with all enquiries.

Other things to note

We do occasionally allow dogs to come and stay, but as there is limited space in the Hut we recommend that they sleep in your car .
Bikes can be hired from Paul at Gobycycle from £15 per day , great idea if you want to come down by train or fly . Let us know and we will contact Paul.

The Hut is in a quiet little glade. It is very simple, but very snug and absolutely perfect for a few days' break. Beaches and coast path easily accessible but not too close. Inside the hut are a comfy double bed, a wood burning stove, a small fridge and two gas rings plus basic cooking equipment. There is a cold tap outside. The shower, housed in an adjoining building, is reliably hot and just what is needed after a day of sun, sea and sand. And rain! A very special little place! Thank you Amanda.

A charming glamping shepherds hut. This is a sweet little romantic glamping get away. This isn't a replacement or alternative to a B&B or hotel (no running water in the hut, no little plastic electric kettle and you have to go outside for the loo and shower) but it is a beautiful secluded and dry (it rained a lot in our stay) place to say. If you want a decent step up from camping, you'll be delighted- there is a stove and a gas hob in the hut (though we didn't use either) and BBQ outside, the toilet and shower building are in a warm dry building, far nicer than anything you'd get camping and you will definitely be warm and cosy in the hut (no more leaky tents!)

Response from Amanda:
Ed, thank you for your review. It does say on the listing page that the bathroom is in an "adjacent timber building ", so i am sorry if you thought it was "attached". The hob does work and it really is very easy to boil the kettle on it, i can assure you!!

My girlfriend and I had such a lovely stay in the Shepherd's hut. The hut was homely and much larger than it looks in the photos, with everything you could need for a simple getaway. It was lovely and private, away from the other farm buildings and a very walkable distance into Polzeath (about 20 minutes to the beach along country lanes). Can't wait to go back and wish we had stayed for longer than 4 nights

We loved staying in the Shepheard's hut for so many reasons. It was private, secluded and tranquil. It was also incredibly cosy and comfy. Everything we needed was there. Nice and simple. Amanda was a lovely host- very friendly. Wish we could've stayed longer, and would definitely go back if we're ever in Cornwall again.
