The space
Beautiful historic house with views over UNESCO biosphere. Great value basic accommodation with hotel-style amenities in a fantastic location. Mix of old & modern furniture. It has minor cosmetic defects, is not perfect and shiny & has dated decor.
Breakfast only £2.50 per person, please pre-book. Laundry, babysitting, delivery service. Bed linen supplied. £10 per towel per rental, or please bring your own. Full kitchen. Comfy beds. Entertainment - TV, DVDs, music, games, books, kids activities. Lounge & Dining Room/ Games room /Study. Guided walks, craft activities.
Good mobile signal. 4g/5g WiFi. Electric radiators provide heating. Can't use fireplaces or smoke.
Pretty cottage has vintage decor and is unrenovated. It's frequently cleaned & there's a top range air purifier/dehumidifier but it may be unsuitable for severe asthmatics (oak beams etc). View all photos before booking so you aren't imagining something different!
There are some notes up e.g. dogs must stay in the kitchen, shower instructions. If these may offend you *please don't book*.

Guest access
Free Parking at Penhelig car park only 170m away, i.e. like airport parking to check in desk. Guests do stop outside to unload. Permit loaned on condition guests pay for a replacement if not left on departure. House is raised up above 20mph road. No footpath but park cut through nearby. Stunning location, pretty views. 3 min walk to pub, Penhelig beach. 8 min walk to village. Small scenic patio/garden to sit out front. Nearby secluded places to take our chairs for a romantic evening watching the sunset.
Check in is 4pm-9pm. Check out at 11am. NO EARLIER CHECK IN & no late night check in- sorry.
Other things to note
*MUST PUT RIGHT NUMBER OF GUESTS WHEN MAKING RESERVATION. Cannot use more beds than number of guests booked. Base price = for 2 people, small extra charge for more guests. CCTV outside. Additional admin charge if you bring extra people without prior payment.
PETS MUST STAY IN KITCHEN AT ALL TIMES.
Pets only by prior arrangement, must stay in kitchen & USE BACK DOOR. There's an outside camera which will see if you don't!
Guests have allergies. We can't police flea treatments. Dogs are more likely to carry pests than people. Thorough vacuuming could still miss a tick with Lyme disease. Babies stay here.
PLEASE DON'T BOOK IF YOU ARE NOT INTENDING TO KEEP YOUR DOG IN THE KITCHEN!
Energy fair usage policy - electric is included in the rental but if you use lots / don't switch off when going out, be prepared to buy more. Most people have enough. Top up by card or message host. Reviewers said "We had enough credit on the smart meter to last 4 of us for 7 nights with credit left over." (Rebecca) and "Don’t let the economy electric put you off, we had plenty of electric on the meter and had plenty when we left too. (Diane).
Maximum stay is 28 days. Pay own electric for stays exceeding 14 days.
