New black "old style" lodge with a beautiful mountain view. Only one hour drive from Reykjavík.
Our lodge is in perfect location for exploring west Iceland, a spectacular natural wonder such as beautiful waterfalls, glaciers, lava cave and the most powerful hot spring in Europe.

A quiet place to see the Northern lights during winter time (if conditions are optimal). Part of the year, depending on the season, you have animals as neighbours such as sheep and horses.

The space
Gíslaholt is private lodge witch you do not share with anyone else.
The kitchen is fully equipped with oven and fridge. There is one bedroom with two high quality beds.
In the living room is a comfortable sofa bed where two people can sleep.
Soft towels and bedlinen are included in the price. We offer a extra bed and baby bed on request.

Highlights include the Snæfellsjökull National Park, which has black sand beaches and diverse rock formations; beautiful lava caves; the most powerful hot spring in Europe and beautiful waterfalls, such as the highest waterfall in Iceland, Glymur. Perhaps one of the most spectacular natural wonders is the Langjökull glacier, which can now be seen from underneath in a manmade ice cave. On boat trips, in the wide bay of Breiðafjörður, visitors are able to see whales and stunning rural islands.
