Nestling on a quiet hillside in the Naturel Parc de Luberon, facing South and set in mature gardens, comprising three terraces and a wood offering a variety of spots to contemplate the views across the valley to the Durance River.
Magical setting at the foot of the Luberon Mountains, this is the true heart of Provence. Wonderful terrace for open air eating, lots of spots around the garden and terraces to chill out and relax. Its a second home so furnished as such. Only 5 mins away from amenities.
Note there are unprotected drops at the back of the house - so any children need to be responsible or to be supervised.
The accommodation is very versatile and with a downstairs bedroom and large bathroom, with walk in shower and separate WC it is very attractive for seniors who find stairs a problem.
Lots of space around the house as well as the wood at the back to get away and have some downtime.
Interaction with guests
Happy to have an chat by (website hidden) or Face Time to answer any queries. At Maison Durance there is a house book with tons of info and help in an emergency is only 5 mins away.
Other things to note
There are unprotected drops at the back of the house (from two terraces) so children need to have a responsible attitude or be supervised
Maximum of 8 guests in the summer months and 6 guests in the winter.
Maison Durance is my second home and much loved. The house is well stocked including a drinks cabinet - all I ask is that my guests add to what they have used and treat my home with respect.
Smoking inside the house is not allowed - however there is plenty of outside space. NOTE that smokers need to be seriously responsible with their cigarettes as the Luberon is often very dry and we do not want a forest fire.
Well behaved dogs are allowed.
There are terraces at the back of the house - with unprotected drops - so parents must take responsibility for their children and or the child needs to be responsible - means that it is not a good idea to have small children wandering around the garden unsupervised.
The house must be left tiny and clean on leaving, with the beds stripped and the linen and towels put in the laundry room and the garbage bagged and place in the outbuilding.
I have my own business - Durance Limited, specialising in corporate, team and personal transformation. My entire career has been in Human Resources and I am a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Maison Durance is my second home, which I have had for over twenty five years. Its a wonderful place to relax and chill in the midst of the Luberon Natural Park. What can I say but Maison Champeau is a real home from home - as my guests say "its paradise on earth".
