OBungalow is the charming front unit of a 1955 Mid Century duplex home. Steps to the San Diego River Bike Path and a 1.5 block walk to a gorgeous beach we have you covered for swimming, surfing, or just soaking up the sun.
The neutral pallet and comfortable new furnishings offer a warm unfussy space. Your day breaks with a cup of gourmet roast and ends as you snuggle into your cozy Casper bed under a mountain of organic cotton and down bedding. ahhh...
The space
The Design
OBungalow is a classic mid century beach bungalow- the exterior of the building has been newly renovated. The interior has tile floors in the living/dining/kitchen area and vinyl plank in the bedrooms. The furniture, household items, and decor are all new. The neutral pallet sets the stage to kick back and relax. A large sectional sofa provides ample seating from which to view your favorite shows or catch an HD Movie on the new 55" Roku equipped TV. NETFLIX ,Amazon Prime , HBO MAX, and Disney+ are included free of charge.
The living/dining area boasts a table for four, a wall of windows with northern exposure, and a cool decorative fireplace.
Both cozy bedrooms feature Casper mattresses with sumptuous organic cotton and down bedding.
The vintage Kitchen is equipped with a full size gas range and refrigerator
Cuisinart cookware, coffee maker and toaster are rounded out with designer ceramic dinnerware.
Pantry items include: gourmet coffee, tea, organic sugar, sea salt & pepper, assorted spices, and cooking oil.
No dishwasher or garbage disposal.
OBungalow has a new mini split AC Unit in the living area in addition to a window fan
Ceiling fans and
a tower fan, and a vintage style Vornado fan in the bedrooms.
A centrally located gas wall heater will keep away winter's chill.

The Outside
OBungalow has a private newly fenced patio off the front of the house. It's the perfect place to enjoy a favorite beverage while relaxing in the cool ocean breeze. There is a water spigot and hose to rinse off the sand after a day at the beach.
For the beach we provide: (4) Beach chairs, (4) Beach towels, (1) Cooler, (1) Beach umbrella, (4) Boogie boards, Beach toys, and a collapsible wagon.
The Practical
High speed internet and USB outlets are available throughout the home
OBungalow has keyed entry. The coded lock box contains the key is located by the front door.
There is one off street parking space behind the duplex. Money!
Street parking is free but can be challenging during peak times
Please note: There is NO PARKING on W. Point Loma Blvd any FRIDAY 7am-11am. You will be ticketed and/or towed!!
Guest access
The walkways between the front sidewalk and private parking space in the back are shared with the neighbors on both sides.

OBungalow is a NO smoking property, this include the outside patio
I love animals but due to family allergies I am unable to host pets at OBungalow. Fortunately, there are plenty of great Airbnb's in the neighborhood that welcome guests with furry friends!
Ocean Beach is located 10 minutes West of San Diego International Airport. Be advised you may notice departing jets during operational hours. Departing curfew is between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am. Earplugs provided

Note for managing expectations regarding bugs+ insects:
OBungalow sits in the middle of a beautiful beach community. This lovely warm setting is attractive to bugs/insects as well as humans. This can result in some 'critters' wanting to enjoy the house as much as you do. Be assured I do my absolute best to take care of these unwanted guests: The property is on a regularly scheduled pest control maintenance program. I have been assured that no critters have taken up residency in the home. The home is professionally cleaned after every guest to ensure top sanitary conditions. In spite of all this,there is potential for a random bug break in.
