Accommodates: 2
Bathrooms: 1 (Shared bathroom)

Room type: Private room

The space

The space for rent is a clean private fully furnished guest bedroom with a queen bed. The main bathroom is immediately outside the bedroom, so you would have easy access, but it is shared. The kitchen, dining, and living room are all shared space. You are more than welcome to utilize the kitchen as well. I will clear a shelf in the fridge for any visitor staying more than one night. Tiding up after yourself would be greatly appreciated. I can accommodate up to 2 additional guests/kids in another bedroom with a queen size bed. You are welcome to use the Wi-Fi, or watch Netflix movies.

The neighbourhood

I am happy to help you find your way around the city whether it’s shopping at farmers markets or an excursion to the Lake Michigan beaches to Frederick Meijer Gardens, or salmon fishing. For the adventurists bikers White Pine Trail will take you from Grand Rapids all the way to Cadillac on a paved trail over 200 miles round trip. Many vineyards, bakeries, breweries and restaurants have sprouted up that are to delicious to pass up. As well as numerous art, music, museum venues and Fifth Third Ball Park is a short drive from my home. One of our city newest events is Art Prize which is a must see experience. Some other tried and true events that are near to Grand Rapids Tulip Time, Festival of the Arts , 28th Street Metro Cruise, Blues on the Mall , Picnic Pops and Herman Miller USA Cycling Championship to name a few.

Other things to note

My driveway accommodates several vehicles so you are more than welcome to park in the driveway.

House Rules

Please remove your shoes before entering my home. Also since I have hardwood floors I would recommend bringing slippers in the winter. The washer and dryer is available to my guests and it takes high efficiency laundry soap. The symbol on the laundry soap looks like this "HE".

Spent a month with Dolores and everything was just as good as I could have expected. Very clean and quiet. Bed was good sized and very comfortable, a little squeaky but that wasn't a huge deal. I had no problems at all. It was nice having a full kitchen and her washer and dryer work great. I would recommend her place to anyone.

Dolores is a charming, warm and welcoming host. I felt totally at home here and everything surpassed my expectations. She lives on a very quiet street within easy access to Grand Rapids. The accommodations were impeccable and super clean. There were big thick luxurious towels in the bathroom, a comfortable bed with lovely Amish quilt, coffee, muffins and fresh fruit for breakfast and helpful info for travelers who are unfamiliar with the area.

Delores was very friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The house was very clean and so was the room. Plenty of storage space in the room. My husband and I probably used less than 10% of the storage provided. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Staying in Wyoming in the "1945 Charming Home Private Room" has been a very good experience. The neighborhood is quiet and save with shopping possibilities only minutes away. A good place to stay, where you can fix your own meals and enjoy a movie in the evening. Delores is a great lady who is very familiar with Grand Rapids and its possibilities. She gave me a tour of the city and she took me to various antique shops. Definitely worth to put this room on your "good place to stay" list.
