Lovely, clean, new apartment. Plenty of space and the aircon came in very handy! Short walk to lots of restaurants and Marsascala is a beautiful location. Josette was a very good host replying quickly to emails and was very friendly and accommodating on arrival. We would stay here again!

Josette the owner of the property met us at the apartment, which was fantastic. The welcome basket was fantastic, and Josette explained and showed all of the apartment and the features. The property is excellent, came fully furnished/equipped and we as a family would recommend it to anyone. The property consisted of 3 rooms, of which we only used 1 as we like to keep our children's in the same room, however, this would be an excellent accommodation with families with older children's wanting their privacy. The master bedroom was ensuite, however, the shower is tad bit small for our liking, but not a issues. The property also consisted of a second lager bathroom. Overall, we would be happy to go back again if available next year as we prefer Malta with our young children's. Changes which would enhance the property: New Kettle En suite Shower - provide shampoo/shower gel holder Bathrooms - replace old toilet brush with new. As you can see from our list above, nothing else requires changes and would recommend to anyone wishing to travel to Malta and in particular Marsaskala. We would like to say many thanks to Josette for coming with the spare keys when my partner accidentally left it inside the apartment collecting his wallet. Thank you very much for allowing us to stay in your lovely apartment, and hope we can stay again next year if available.

The apartment is very spacious and very bright. There are restaurants shops and the bus stop its not far away. We checked in very late and the host left us a basket with some fruits, bread, juice etc, really appreciate it! The only thing I am not sure about is why we were charged 10 euros electricity, it was not mentioned in the flats description but we were told that we would be charged that amount as we arrived at the flat. That never happened before so make sure you discuss it with the host before booking it.

Lovely apartment, Air conditioning was a Godsend as temperatures in high 30s. Host were lovely, accommodating and helpful. Welcome pack of fruit, wine, bread, milk etc was very useful and thoughtful. The apartment was clean and well equipped. There is now a washing machine which is very useful. You could almost get away with one outfit.. wear, wash in evening, put out on balcony to dry overnight, wear again... etc. If you want to make the money go further, you can knock up a tasty pasta dish bought from the local shop.. pasta, mince, pasta sauce, tin of toms, onions ... we did it twice.. very tasty and cheap for a family of 5.. only grip, for a 3 bed apartment, only 4 seats at table.. 5 or 6 would be better. Shop just across the road very handy. Area generally quiet although more general noise in mornings after 9am. We bought Bus cards at 21 Euros for seven days. Bus stop just down road.. 91 and 92 to Valetta.. you can get the X5 to the airport. Good value, but if you want to travel extensively around the island, is time consuming. Allow 2 hours to Gozo ferry via Valleta (buses have air con so ok for sight seeing along the way. May be better to hire a car for extensive travel as is cheap and will at least halve travel time. The children went scuba diving locally... seemed good value for money... 30 euros each for a taster session in the local area.. really good. DiveMed in Marsascala were great.. worth a try. There are not many sandy beaches... top tip... get some wet shoes... there is a serious chance of cutting your feet on hidden rocks... I learned the hard way with a need for a few stitches in my foot.. followed by "don't get your feet wet for at least a week".. all you want to hear in 40 degree heat !!!!. In search of a beach we went to St Georges Bay.. turned out to be a man-made gritty beach and was very 18-30s... I felt a bit old !! I spoke to a man who's job was "beach supervisor" and asked him what his role entailed. He said that part of it was making sure the ladies did not sunbath topless.. Not sure what he gets paid, but sounds a great job if you can get it.... There were quite a few instances of Jellyfish stings on that beach... so beware. We spent quite a long time in Valletta. Lots to see and do. Always some shady spots or air-conditioned places to cool off. Also some swimming off the rocks to cool down near the Malta Experience building. Look out for the 3Ds photo in a Perspex block.. quite a novel idea for a momento of the trip. We loved Malta, loved the apartment.. would be good to return in Autumn when temps would allow some good walks.

We had a very nice stay in Josette's apartment in Marsaskala! The apartement had a good location with a supermarket just down the road and restaurants and the marina in a quick walk away. St. Thomas bay had good opportunities for swimming and sunbathing, and was a 15 minutes walk from the apartement. The apartement had everything we needed, and it even was a bit bigger than we expected out of the pictures. For 6 persons it is perfect, and we were 7 and that also worked out very well. Josette was a good host, and quick responding both before and during our stay. She also showed up very quick when we had some problems with the electricity. We are very satisied!
