The space
Its a unique cosy peaceful retreat space and part of Artists residence!
Shabby chic full of character .
Sian has added her magical artistic touches in her 35 years of living here and her paintings are dotted around the place!
Also available prints and cards and commissions!
The South facing sunny garden over looks a big rushing river below and you can be lulled to sleep with the sounds of water!
If your lucky you can catch a Heron,wild ducks or see Otters and fish !
The village is small and friendly !
There is an organic vegetable and grocery shop open Tuesdays/Thursdays and Saturdays 10am to 2 pm
Also Lammas eco village is on door step with public footpath running through the centre of it.
There are sometimes pre booked tours of some of the plots see Lammas Earth Centre website to contact a private tour.
There is my 3 acre field to walk and play in with a swing in old Oak tree and seating areas and hammocks in various places on the trails !
Seats under Oak and fire pits if you want to collect wood and have a camp fire !
I can accomodate a horse in 2 paddocks if wanting a horse holiday at extra cost and dogs also!
A small woodland circular walk with spring pool and little seats for contemplation , Blue bells in Spring and wild garlic!
Classes can be arranged in painting , card making and jewellery if booked in advance!
Also local alternative treatments can be arranged like Massage, Reflexology for feet and face, Sacro Cranial etc and Sian herself has diploma in Indian Head Massage!!
Or visit the local Spar at The Cliff Hotel, Gwbert, Cardigan 20 mins away for a sauna , jacuzzi, swim etc booking advised go to website for contacts and prices etc they do a lovely Sunday lunch buffet too overlooking panoramic views of the sea in newly refurbished restaurant.
We are 20 mins from the unspoilt Pembrokeshire coast at Newport Pembs and famous coast paths and spectacular scenery.
Great sunsets at the Parrog Newport!
They have some great cafes and pubs The Golden Lion , Llys Meddig and The Royal Oak and many more .
We are 10 mins from the famous mystical Bluestone Preseli Mountains where the Bluestone from Stonehenge came from!
Its a truly stunning and beautiful area to explore by car and foot lots to see and do from horse riding, great cinemas, theatre , music, pubs and restaurants ,cafes ,coasteering, canoeing, surfing , biking , treking, boat trips , dolphins and island visits etc etc !
There are lots of leaflets and books about the area provided for trips out and walks provided in the Old Taylor's Shop where you will stay at Danderi Retreat!
Two taylors worked in there making clothes from cloth woven at the Woollen Mill 2 doors down and the sheep used to be washed in river pool below the house!
The old hearth remains behind the woodburning stove adding character and charm!
The space is light and bright and cheery and newly decorated with large window overlooking river and garden!
A warm welcome awaits you with complimentary traditional Welsh cakes and a whistling kettle on stove!
"Theres a welcome in the hills" as they say in Wales!
Have now decorated the Art Studio and is available as an extra space for use to write, paint, hangout in with balcony overlooking garden!!
It will be extra price on top of £25 per day of use!
Also if you have a horse and want to bring it there is a 3 acre field for it to roam and fresh spring stream at an added extra of £10 per night and room to park a small horse box!
Please respect my home and leave it as you found it as much as is possible I put alot of effort to make it as beautiful as I can for guests!
Any breakages to be paid for !
Crymych is 10 minutes drive away with cheapest petrol station around , Liesure centre, Health food shop, cafe, chip shop , pub , butchers , chemists,
Options ,vets and two boutiques with cards and accessories etc Shop Sian !
Guest access
There is a specific off road parking area for guests at the lower end of the house with signs saying car park by wooden shed.
Please do not park anywhere after the red tin studio at top of house as this is not my property and will upset the neighbour .
Please do not walk down his track or try to go down to the river as this belongs to him and is private.
The front garden is free to use with views over the river and please be careful as big drops to river .
Guests can have access to utility space to use freezer and washing machine {extra cost to do a wash and eco washing liquid provided as on septic tank}.
There is access to the 3 acre field and woodland for walks and old Oak tree with swing and large picnic table .
Sometimes there are friendly sheep so please close all gates .
Camp fires barby's on request .
Other things to note
Plus extra space to rent with flat in Art studio to paint , write or just do yoga , relax etc.
Or you can book a lesson to do banner painting , card making or basic jewellery making or painting collage etc !
You can also book a relaxing massage in advance or reflexology from local therapists!
Please bring slippers no outside shoes and wellies for walks ,insect repellant for summer midges in evenings outside!
If you leave windows open and lights at night insects will come in attracted to light .
