Our home is beautiful located with a great view over Tromsø, surrounded by the mountains. During the summer (24. may-24- july) we have sun through the whole night.

The space

Our house is situated in a quiet street, no traffic. It holds a great standard after renovating it 3 years ago.

Guest access

Private room, kitchen, bathroom, and livingroom

Interaction with guests

We are a busy family, going to kindergarden, and work. But in the night we like to sit down and talk to our visitors.

Frank and Anne-Lise were welcoming and great hosts. Their home was lovely, cosy, clean and in a great location. It's about a 30minute walk to the city or a 10minute bus ride - the bus stop has 2 buses into the city and is minutes away from the home. The room was in the basement with a private bathroom. The rest of the home was really nice, warm with an amazing view of the city from their living room balcony. Both Frank and Anne-Lise were super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend their place to anyone. Thanks to both for a great stay!

The house was really nice and we had our own space there for our stay as you have your own bathroom and area to chill out which was good. It's a short bus ride from the centre which means that the views are fairly spectacular. Frank and family were super welcoming and gave us loads of good tips for the area. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you're visiting Tromso.

Frank and Anne-lise were really helpful and gave us tips about Tromsø, lent us some extra layers (needed as it was -10 degrees) and offered to lend us their cross country ski equipment too. Their house is very spacious and the view across the bay is brilliant, we saw the Northern Lights from there. The bed is very comfortable and the room was sufficient (and full of toys!).

We really enjoyed our stay at Franks home! The house has an amazing view and is next to the cable car, where we could see the northern lights! We only met Franks wife, but she helped us out a lot and give us good advice! Recommended!

The perfect place in Tromso and possibly the most warm home of the city because of the awesome family. Location: very good. A 10 minute bus ride from home with the bus stop a minute long walk away. The home is right next to the famous Fjellheisen or the cable car that takes you atop the mountain ( which Lise would say is more fun hiking:) ). About 7 minutes walk from a grocery store and a pleasant 15 min walk to the arctic cathedral of Tromso. The best part was that we could see the aurora borealis from their home and even better atop the mountain. The home: warm fuzzy cozy. The room in the basement has everything we could ask for including a neat private bath, a bedroom, our own television (of course no one would think about watching the television in a city like Tromso), beautiful candles all across the place, supremely impressive kitchen, and an astounding living area with a breathtaking view of the Tromso city. In the evening when Lisa would be home and light up the candles and dim the lights the whole ambience would be amazing. The people: This is the best part. We use Airbnb as a platform to connect with people more than anything else so that we get insight into tye culture, values, way of life etc of a new place. In the family, we received so much warmth with all the getting around help, best options for food, travel etc. Lisa also baked us breads for breakfast and struck memorable conversations. The kids are super adorable :). We had a very limited facetime with Frank because he was travelling but we certainly hope to interact more. The lights: We were extremely luck to have been able to track and trace the lights around 45 minutes outside Tromso but the next we were able to spot them right from the home of our hosts which makes it supremely special. Highly recommend to anyone.

Frank and his family were the perfect hosts. We felt us very welcome. The house looks like you would imagine a typically norwegian house. The kitchen is fully equiped and the bathroom is very modern including a relaxing rain shower. ;-)

We are a couple and we spent 5 beautiful days in Frank and Anne Lise house. We had a cozy bedroom with a very clean bathroom in a downstairs and private area of the apartment. Frank and his family are very kind and we felt at home since we arrived! The kiitchen is fully equiped and from the living room there is a wounderful view of Tromso. We saw also the Northern lights from Frank's garden!
