Please make sure you are following the above mentioned restrictions before you book.

The space:
This old rustic lakefront cottage is over 100 years old & has been in the family for generations. All of our proceeds go back into constantly updating & upgrading the cottage for everyone to enjoy. Situated on Lake Simcoe on a sandy cove with shallow warm water and lots of sandbars, it is prefect for swimming with young children and for adults alike (Just watch out for the zebra mussels). Occasionally the beach will wash away in a large storm but always returns. We have a large amount of beach games, water toys, and tons of floaties available for use during your stay.

4 Bedrooms & 1 bath - There is king bed in master bedroom, a double bed in second bedroom, and a bunk bed in the third bedroom. In the forth bedroom, up a spiral staircase, is a finished attic with one double bed & one single bed in an open concept. The cottage fits 8 adults comfortably. Due to the old nature of the cottage, please stick to the 8 person maximum.

Keep in mind, this is an old rustic cottage complete with all of it's rustic charm and doesn't have the same amenities as home, this is not a 5 star hotel. There is No dishwasher, No oven, & No phone (No shirt, No shoes, No Problem!) We do however have a large flat screen TV with cable & WIFI, along with many board games for rainy days. The main floor, carpeted throughout, contains an open concept & spacious full kitchen with Stove top 4 burner (no oven) & microwave, a dining area with a dining room table with seating for 8, a small high top bar area with seating for 3, as well as a living area with big comfy couches and a cozy gas fireplace.

Outdoors there is a large deck for outdoor enjoyment. On the deck we have a propane BBQ & a Green Egg smoker for those who like to BBQ. An extra propane cylinder will be provided however charcoal for the smoker is not. Also available for the deck are folding gravity chairs, a padded swing, and a hammock with a sunshade. All of the soft furnishings are kept just inside the sliding doors from the deck for ease of access.

For those who would like to explore the lake by water, we have Kayak rentals available for the Spring, Summer & Fall (pretty much whenever the Lake isn't frozen). Kayaking is a great way to access the best fishing spots & explore nature on the water especially when the water is too cool to go swimming. Kayak rentals include the kayak, paddle, life jackets, & safety kit. Up to 4 kayaks are available at a time for different lengths of time depending on the length of your stay. Feel free to let me know if you are interested.

The dock & the boat lift on the property is usually taken out anytime after the third week of September and put back in around the May long weekend, so if your booking falls after that date and you wish to use the dock, please make sure you check with me to ensure if it’s availability prior to making your reservation.

We follow Airbnb’s five-step enhanced cleaning process, which is based on Airbnb’s cleaning handbook that was developed in partnership with experts. Before your arrival all surfaces are cleaned & sanitized following Airbnb's cleaning guidelines. All cleaners and disinfectants approved by global health agencies. Extra cleaning supplies are provided, so you can clean as you stay.

Where you’ll be

Innisfil, Ontario, Canada

In addition to the beach at the cottage, there is a much larger public beach at the end of the street (2 minute walk). Fun for beach volleyball or making sand castles. For a great for a day at the beach, fill up a cooler with some drinks and snacks and spend the day there. Beware it fills up quick during the summer and on the weekends.

There is yet an even bigger beach at Innisfil Beach Park on the 8th line with paid parking (8 minute drive). It has a sprawling recreation area with sandy shores, trails & sports fields, plus BBQ grills & it has the closest boat launch docks.

Food: There is a Sobey's & No Frills in Town (8 minute drive) on Innisfil Beach Road. The Sobey's closes at 10 PM and the No Frills closes at 8 PM.

Drinks: There are both an L.C.B.O. (10 PM Close) and a Beer store (8 PM Close) in Town both just off of Innisfil Beach Road.

Restaurants: Johnny Burger is my favourite burger joint in town. Nothing fancy just great burgers & outdoor sitting. For sports bars there C.W. Coop's, with the best wings in town. The Beach Bar and Grill Innisfil is also good for pub grub.

Sunset Barrie drive-in movie theater (25 min drive) in Oro-Medonte which plays a double feature movie drive-in style. They start around 9PM and the cost is $12 per person.

Sunset Speedway (10 min drive) in Innisfil is a Stock Car Racing Track which is open on Saturday nights in the summer. Gates open at 5:00 PM and cost is around $20 per person.

Georgian Downs (10 min drive) which has slots and Harness Horse Racing . Entry is free and post time starts around 7:15 PM.

Downtown Barrie (20 min drive) has lots of Shops and Bars with live music on Saturdays. Great for a bite to eat, drinks, and just walking around. It’s a great night out on Saturday.
