Located in Historic Verdugo Village, this adorable 2br 1ba apartment is freshly remodeled with modern conveniences while maintaining its original charm and character. Adjacent to Eagle Rock, Atwater Village, Silverlake, York blvd , and Adams Hill.

The space

Fully Furnished.
Available immediately for weekly, bi-weekly or monthly rental.

The two bedroom duplex has a private entrance, offers plenty of light, has a dedicated outdoor space, and enclosed side yard and side entrance.

Furnished with mid century modern vintage pieces, the apartment is tranquil and well appointed boasting a full kitchen (with gas cooktop, oven and dishwasher), a breakfast counter, dining area, living area, an insuite laundry center (stacked washer and dryer), two bedrooms and one bath. One bedroom is furnished with a king sized platform bed, the other bedroom is furnished as a home office (with desk, chair, bookcase) with a fold down couch (full size).

The bathroom has been modern and tastefully redone with a large walk in shower, convenient vanity and medicine cabinet, with beautiful lighting and modern bathroom fixtures.

We love animals and are happy to receive furry friends.
A few constraints apply:
There is a one pet limit.
All pets must be discussed with us prior. Exceptions are occasionally made for more animals, please inquire.
An additional pet deposit will apply of $500.00

Guest access

Guest will have access to the apartment and all the amenities within it. There is a 48" smart TV with multiple movie channel options, as well as wifi internet.

Other things to note

ESSENTIALS
The unit is fully furnished and we provide towels, sheets, blankets, pillows and kitchen utensils etc. We provide enough consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dishwashing detergent and laundry detergent) to get our guests started, but do not supply consumables for the remainder of their stay.

NEIGHBORS
The duplex adjacent is also a temporary furnished rental. Please inquire if there is a party larger than four as there may be adjacent accommodation available.

TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX
** Due to LA City taxes, all guests who stay less than 30 days must pay a 14% transient occupancy tax (similar to a hotel room tax) to the city upon or before check in. This is the same tax you pay in LA hotels which we forward to LA City Hall monthly. Airbnb is unable to collect the tax at this time. We accept cash payment upon check in or pay pal if you prefer credit card. Airbnb support is available to confirm this.

No smoking inside the property.

SECURITY
Please lock the windows and doors when you are not on site. While the
neighborhood is fantastic, it is still Los Angeles and crime does occur.

TRASH & RECYCLING
Trash is collected every Wednesday morning. Please take trash and
recycling to the back alley and place it in the black and blue bins.

DAMAGE
We understand that accidents happen; please let us know if something
breaks so it can be promptly replaced.

UPON LEAVING
Please throw out unused opened food and beverage containers. If there
is something that is not perishable and useful to the next guest and you would like to leave it (coffee, spices, sugar, etc), we welcome your generosity.

Please leave the keys in the lock box upon exiting.

The two major hiccups were the heater (no instructions on how to use it) and the electricity kept shorting out but our host was easy to reach via text and the problem was fixed the next day. It was a downer to stay in a cold home the first night though. We visited in Feb and it was a cold and rainy day. Otherwise the house is clean.

Comfortable, clean and perfect central location for family holiday in Los Angeles. Easy drive to downtown LA, Disneyland and Old town Pasadena. We loved it, especially given the pricepoint!

Alejandra made everything perfect when we got to the house. Everything you might need is there and the space was perfect for me and my other 2 friends. My favourite room in the house was definitely the bathroom, it's very modern and I love the walk in shower. The neighbourhood is very friendly when we stayed there and there was adequate parking on the street. Thanks for having me Alejandra and my friends!

Our monthlong stay at Upper Shasta Circle fit our needs perfectly. The neighborhood felt safe when walking our dog . It was convenient to freeways, a supermarket and Starbucks, and a 10 minute drive to our daughter's home. The house has a modern well equipped kitchen, high efficiency Washer & dryer, and on street parking was always available. Alejandra responded promptly & professionally when we needed her and went out of her way to help us extend our stay at the last minute.

Depending on the guest's check in time and our availability, we receive guests and check them out personally or remotely.
Barring the exception of a guest requiring something, the unit is entirely at your their disposal and they will likely not see us during their stay.

About Alejandra

Bryan (my husband and business partner) and I are designers. We live in Atwater Village where we rent our our back house (and occasionally our front house) on Air BnB. We enjoy design, objects, furniture, films, music and great food. We're friendly and easy going. We have two fantastic golden retrievers (linus and lulu) who are litter mates that were found in the trash in San Diego and a cat (winston) who believes he's a dog. In absence of children, they come with us everywhere we go (and are likely good at architecture by now). We will take care of your home as though it were our own and would ask you do the same:)
