A standalone former garage that has been lovingly converted into a light-filled haven of lazing. Underfloor heating warms the space downstairs and upstairs the spacious bedroom feels like it’s perched amongst the birdsong itself. A beautiful bathroom and well-appointed kitchen makes for a more creature-comforting stay than our other listings.

The space
Little Idle stands across the car park from our home. The property is set within 16 acres of a hidden valley in rural south Devon. Walk out into the woodland and wild quarry. Paths snake around the land and there's even a little brook to explore at the bottom of the valley for the intrepid!

Little Idle features:
- A gloriously spacious, light-filled upstairs bedroom with comfortable locally-crafted King size organic mattress and cotton linen.
- A floor-length velux window that opens to let maximum light and air in.
- A contemporary kitchen with fridge, induction cooker, oven, dishwasher, cooking essentials and pullout dining table.
- Bright, spacious living room with sofa bed, rocking chair and large, hand-hewn windows in place of the former barn doors..
- A well-appointed bathroom with bath-shower and ornate tiles.
- Designed for lovers of lounging in a luminous atmosphere.

If you're looking for complete seclusion we recommend our Wildflower Cabin, set in a field of it's own. But if you're looking for comfort and ease only a short stroll from uninterrupted nature Little Idle is ideal.

Where you’ll be

Diptford, England, United Kingdom

The valley in which Little Idle lolls is genuinely tucked away, but reassuringly close to Totnes. It takes less than 15mins to drive to the bustling, characterful town which is filled with cafes, independent shops and curios. It's a fascinating and beautiful town complete with castle and two weekly markets, as well as monthly food market.
15 mins drive north is the edge of Dartmoor National Park. 368 square miles of wild beauty: open moor and wooded valley, famed for it's tors (granite outcrops) and neolithic landscapes. You could spend days up there and only just being to touch the wealth of wilderness on offer.
30 mins drive south or west and you reach the sea. Its a spectacular meeting - rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, surf and spume. There are some great places to eat if you know where to look - we'll recommend our picks.
