There are many things to see in the area: local markets, small picturesque medieval villages and castles. Worth mentioning is the town of Saint Emilion and the coastal town of Arcachon on the Atlantic ,where you can experience the beautiful beaches, the seafood restaurants and the oyster bars. Bordeaux is not only worldwide famous for its wines. Recently part of the Unesco World Heritage, it is a breathtaking city, one of the oldest in France, situated on the banks of the river Garonne. Bordeaux has it all: museums, splendid gothic cathedrals and 18th century buildings, numerous old cobbled streets, cafés, restaurants and shopping in the longest pedestrian street in Europe...

Around La Corne there are many beautiful hiking and biking trails through the vineyards, on the small roads,or along the river Garonne. You can see places such as Château Malromé, where the famous artist Toulouse Lautrec spent his last days and the pilgrimage village of Verdelais, where he is buried or the medieval village of Saint Macaire.

Château La Corne is situated 5 mn away by car from the nearest train station, 10mn from local amenities, 10 mn from the A62 highway, 45 mn from Bordeaux international airport and 1h15 from Bergerac airport, 1h30 from the Atlantic ocean, 2 h. from the Pyrenees and 2h30 from San Sebastian, Spain.

If it’s the view and serenity that you are looking for during your vacation, then this IS the place to stay. Located on top of the vineyard valley, away from the city lights and noises, yet only 5km away to town centre, you can enjoy both peaceful stay and convenient access. Short distance to many small yet charming medieval towns nearby, and a 40min driving will bring you right back to the baz city life of Bordeaux. The house is very spacious, traditional style with everything you need for cooking, dining. Very friendly host couple, fluent in English which is rare in this region. This gives extra pleasure on chatting with them on histories and knowledge of wine etc.

Extremely warm welcome received upon arrival. Homemade bread and jam supplied plus extra items already in the fridge. Lovely location and so quiet in amongst the vines. Plenty to see and do nearby without having to spend a long time driving.

Me and my wife had a stay at the Chateau one week for our honeymoon. The area is really beautiful, with the surrounding Vineyards and small cozy villages all around. We had a great time sitting in the large terasse we had for ourselves, with a choir of cicades after dark. The nearby village Verdelais is especially recommendable for a visit, and the local bakery in Le Pian less than 5 minutes away by bike had amazing baguettes, and served some of the best croissant we've tasted. Marie-Christine and Willy really made a stretch to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They gathered us at the station in Langon, and one night when we messed up and missed the last train from Bordeaux, and was about to rent a motel, they drove all the way from Le Pian to drive us home. They are really nice, very outgoing, but also respectful to our privacy. When we wanted to be alone, they let us, and they were always around when we needed them. Willy told us a lot about the area, the history of places, and gave us good tips on where to go and what to see. It is evident that they love what they do, both the wine-making and the hospitality. Totally recommendable.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at La Corne. Our first time travelling with our young son and it was made very easy with lots of helpful baby things provided by our thoughtful hosts. The sunset evenings on the terrace, the homemade bread and jam in the mornings, the fantastic folders of local info for sightseeing and most importantly 2 very welcoming, friendly and thoughtful hosts made for an excellent stay. Thanks Marie-Christine and Willy! We hope to see you again.

Meridian really were fabulous hosts. There Airbnb is absolutely charming and we enjoyed every minute of our stay there. Such a wonderful experience! Their farm house is located in the field of grapevines and there are many places where you can walk in beautiful scenery. Such a delight! I would recommend this place to anyone because it really was special place. Willy was kind enough to give us a tour of the wine making facilities which was an added bonus. It was really interesting. Such a wonderfully kind couple they are. And the bread that they make for you every morning is truly delicious. I couldn't eat enough of it! Their place is close enough to everything when you can drive about a half hour and you'll get some really beautiful locations. I want to return here because I loved it so much!

What can you say... First (our hosts): Marie-Christine and Willy is the most charming hosts ever. So funny, thoughtful and really interested in their surroundings. Willy gave us really nice information about what to see and what to do in the area. We followed his kind advices and we are so glad we did. Wow! Second (the area): This is the second trip to France. We can honestly say that the Bourdeaux area is by far the most beautiful of them all. We loved every second of it. Third (the house): Those stone houses are remarkable. Very well temperatured inside even if its hot outside. Big place, well equipped and so comfortable beds. Like a five star hotel.

We are a french-danish couple. We've lived in Denmark, the United States and now France. We bought Château La Corne 20 years ago. Willy had to learn everything about wine making, a real challenge. I take care of the house and the renting of the apartment. Through wine selling and renting we have the opportunity to meet many different people and we love it.
We now have bought another amazing place near Saint Emilion and will also be so happy to help our guests to discover this new area.
