This is such a great place to stay, just off the Trace, with woods all round. Plenty of birds and wildlife to spot. Wonderful sitting under the porch and hearing the sounds of the night.

Call me crazy, but I was kind of hoping there would be an operating Saloon in conjunction with the guest house. Also, the host says that they don't offer wifi becuase the cell reception is good; these are orthogonal constructs and on cannot be used to validate the other. Secondly, cell reception was terrible. I had to call no fewer than 8 or 9 times to successfully place a food order. The apartment itself was nice, albeit it had so many signs with instructions on them that I thought I was back at work! Generally, for the area and lack of amenities, the price should not be so high.

Response from Christi:
Aubrey, So sorry your experience was not pleasant. As indicated in the instructions that were sent by email, it states cell reception can be poor depending upon the carrier. It is unfortunate you did not receive this email initially as it indicated it was sent in my folder. The email also lists all amenities available at the guesthouse currently. If you view all pictures from AIRBNB you will see there is not a saloon listed on the premises, as well. It is very important to us that our guests have an enjoyable stay. I most certainly wish you had notified me prior to your trip & I would have been more than happy to have explained all the amenities available & referred you to a less remote B&B. I service many cyclists & have only had positive results in the 3 years we have been open. I cannot, however, express enough how sorry I am that you were displeased. If you plan a trip down the Natchez Trace Parkway in the future & are seeking overnight accommodations, I would recommend the Belmont Hotel in Belmont, MS. Their owner services cyclists, as well, & it is less remote, has WiFi, and shops & eateries within walking distance. Do hope you will consider this option if returning to the area.

Great location - very close to Tishomingo State Park and right off the Trace. Super clean, comfy, and secluded. It was a home away from home!

I had a nice relaxing stay in Tishomingo. Christi provided information about the area's history and attractions, and was very responsive. I was very happy to stay out in the country on a peaceful acreage rather than in a chain motel next to a chain restaurant. I'd love to return and spend more time exploring the area. With a full kitchen, laundry, and a fire pit in the huge yard, I didn't want to leave.
