Where you’ll be

Copenhagen, Denmark

Vesterbro is a lively neighborhood with everything within reach. Whether you are looking for a cultural event, a culinary experience or the perfect spot for a picnic, Vesterbro has it all.

5 minutes walking from the apartment, you’ll find the area around Enghave Plads where you can take the metro circle line, that connects the city from side to side and which leads you to the main attractions of the capital.

If you prefer to stay in the area, grabbing a coffee in the square is highly recommended. Here you find exceptional coffee, which can be enjoyed in the morning sun, while gazing at the smiling people passing by.

You can also take a walk down the (in)famous Istedgade, where you will find cute little boutiques and small quirky cafes next to tattoo shops and falafel bars. Diverse and glorious in its own charming way.

Sønder Boulevard runs all the way to The Central Station and is home to the notorious flee marked Rita’s Lopper and is a lovely place to hang out. Here, you’ll also find the hip Meatpacking District with tons of bars, restaurants and cafes, galleries and co-working spaces.

If you are looking for a green area to enjoy the afternoon, Vesterbro has a lot of hidden jems. Our favorite is Skydebanehaven, which also has a great playground next to it. Once there, don’t hesitate to get an ice cream in Siciliansk Is in Skydebanegade. Probably the best Italian ice cream outside Italy.

The neighborhood has a friendly, laid back and welcoming vibe. There is a strong community feeling and a lot of social engagement. Vesterbro offers a lot of different events in the summer, and is well known for its street parties, organized by local residents, with plenty to see and do for both kids and grown ups.

Last but not least you should treat yourself with a walk in Frederiksberg Have, which is a short walk from the apartment. It is a well kept garden with small canals and beautiful flowers. It is located next to Copenhagen Zoo and when they are out to play you can even catch a glimpse of the elephants.

If you decide to have dinner at home, there is plenty supermarkets just outside the door and all you need to get your gastronomical creativity going in the kitchen.
