Our stay served our basic needs as a home base and was near shopping, and not too far from Glasgow and good spots to hike. For the price, it is not a bad deal as there is a functional kitchen, comfortable bed, and washing machine, so if you are looking to save money, want a place of your own, its a decent deal. A few quirks to be aware of which contributed to my lower star review. It's a garage that has been converted and it shows. I've never had this experience anywhere else, but the applicances shock you. Nothing too painful, just uncomfortable, made us quite nervous and was unexpected, specifically when cooking on the stovetop and touching the hot water fossit. We made it a habit to wear rubber soled shoes in the kitchen. Also, the bathroom, although functional, is a bit makeshift with a curtain separating the shower from the living and the toilet from the shower, and the shower from the glass front door. Lastly, you don't feel like you have much privacy unless you keep all the curtains closed as Patrick is wandering around outside the space, and even knocked on our glass bedroom door to tell us to turn the lights off, while we were there. Having a man looking through your bedroom door while your there is pretty uncomfortable. Made it a habit to draw all blinds after that. He was also a bit abrasive to talk to when we asked for extra toilet paper and asked if he had a spare towel. He was quite annoyed at the request. Despite all the quirks, like a said, its a cheap homebase, relatively near things.

Patrick was easily reached when making arrival arrangements and even accommodated our early arrival. He made good suggestions for sights to see in the area. While compact, the unit had everything needed. It is private, quiet and in a good location (easy walk to grocery stores, restaurants, train and bus).

Patrick's apartment was exactly what we needed it for. Used as a base to travel the beautiful Scottish country side. If you plan on being out and about on your stay to Edinburgh, Glasgow, or the Scottish highlands this is your spot.

The stay was very enjoyable, were up in Alloa for a short stay. Patrick gave us a warm greeting and showed us round, explaining everything that we needed to know. Surprised to discover a fully functional kitchen, with a washing machine and everything was as described. Good central location for travel to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling and if you enjoy climbing or walking the Ochil hills are in easy walking distance. You have your own key and the place is secure.

Patrick was friendly and was waiting for us as we were late due to train cancellation. The place was good value for money and you can find everything what you need, just walking distance from train station and town centre, We can recommend and will use this accommodation again.

We had a lovely stay in Patricks converted garage. It is what it says on the package and we weren't disappointed. There is some clutter there and there, but nothing terrible. The bed was a bit wonky (I kept falling off but that just might be my clumsy self) and a few times the shower leaked on the floor but nothing catastrophic. The WiFi wasn't too strong and we couldn't connect at times, but at least we got to appreciate the beauties of Scotland more
