Kinley Wangchuk homestay is a simple family run homestay in the rural surroundings of Haa valley. The home is situated under three sacred mountains - The Meripuensum heritage forest, which makes it ideal base for day treks in these mountains. The host, Kinley, is an avid archer. He and his wife Wangmo spend most of their day time in their farms and taking care of cattle.

The space
You get access to your rooms via a shared living area. There are two shared toilet and bathrooms, with western styled commode facility. Hot water is provided. Free parking is provided on property.

During your stay
Host Kinley and Wangmo are farmers and might have to go out for their daily chores in the daytime. Kinley would happily take you out for showing his village around though, you may also enjoy a session of archer. Keep in mind that he is an archer and can make a bulls eye even from 145m distance.

Kinley can understand and speak fluent Hindi, Dzongkhar and Nepalese (No English)

Other things to note
Breakfast and Meals can be arranged at an additional cost and can be paid directly to the host in cash. Breakfast is 250 Ngultrum per person and Meal is 350 Ngultrum per person. The meals are traditional Bhutanese dishes and most of the vegetables are homegrown from the Kitchen garden.

The homestay is close to white temple ( 200 m walk) and Black temple (200 m uphill walk). The Haa river flows 50 m from his place, and there is a smaller stream that flows right by the house.

Kinley stays with his wife, Wangmo, at their ancestral house in Haa Valley, Bhutan. He has three children, who are all studying in the capital. Before starting the homestay 2 years back, he worked as a taxi driver, but now finds solace in being a homestay owner where he gets to spend more time with family / friends. He is also an avid archer, has won multiple archery competitions. You might try asking him for some tips about the national sport of Bhutan. When at home, he loves to help his wife in the kitchen and their farm. He speaks fluent Hindi / Dzongkha / Nepalese languages.
