As if the scenic drive up from NYC wasn't breathtaking enough, JD's property provided the perfect opportunity to just be still for a while in the serenely stunning beauty of the Fall season. His private campsite is exactly that, and the peaceful surroundings where just what I needed to melt away the stress of the city. JD is great, accessible and accommodating host. His home in the woods made the woods fee like home. Officially my new go-to personal retreat spot!

J.D's campsite is a great place to stay if you're looking set up a tent near your car, but want a more quiet and secluded option than the big campgrounds can offer. You drive your car through his beautiful yard to the campsite, where the house is barely in view through the trees. Just private enough. Beautiful wooded area and some friendly deer came pretty close to the tent. JD was an excellent host. Very friendly and accommodating. He was flexible with our arrival time and made sure we had everything to be comfortable. I would stay there again.

We only got to stop by J.D.'s for one super rainy night. He was a very kind and relaxed host, and let us stay under cover instead of setting up our tent in the heavy rains. We loved learning about his plans for the property!

A truly idyllic and easy camping experience on some of the most beautiful land Ive encountered in the Hudson Valley.

This was ideal little campsite away from all the big busy camping areas around this area, it was a little difficult to find, as I just had coordinates (didn't know how to use them!!) but it's a little way up Blacktop man n entrance is easily missed (maybe make no. on mailbox little brighter?) that's only complaint. Perfect little spot behind house in out in woods, JD was a very good host, he offered us firewood for fire and use of his bathroom n kitchen in house if we needed it. Would def use this AirBnB again

We had a great stay at J.D.'s beautiful forest campsite, situated in earshot of a rushing brook — but otherwise very quiet — and carpeted with soft pine needles. The house — which is close by, but not too close to the campsite — is lovely with a rustic yet artsy vibe, and has two bathrooms and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen/dining room. During our stay over Memorial Day weekend, other guests were staying in the two guest rooms in the house. J.D. was an attentive yet laid-back host with a peaceful energy. The location felt quite rural to us compared to other parts of the Catskills. Lots of beautiful forests and great hiking trails are close by. This was a step up for us from the commotion of a public campsite. Would recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful weekend away.
