Our family home is on the doorstep of the Sussex Downs with the heart of Brighton just a 20 minute bus ride away. It easily houses 5 and is ideal for a family getaway. Lovely kitchen & a large, comfortable lounge with smart TV & dining area.
Our comfortable family home is on the doorstep of the Sussex Downs National Park. We have a large living room and dining area. The living room has a smart TV with Freeview and internet access. There is also a shelf unit full of toys and games to keep the kids entertained! There are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. We have a lovely, retro style kitchen which is a great space to cook gastronomical delights in (or, if you prefer, bung something in the microwave). Our family home has charm in the form of interesting decorative touches and we think it is a fun place to spend time. We have a utility room with a washing machine which has an unusual sitting area where you can plug your ipod into the speakers should you wish to. Our house is still work in progress so whilst the bathroom would not exactly fit in Homes and Gardens magazine, it is clean and functional. And for those of you who like retro, it boasts a peach bathroom sweet! There is also a downstairs loo (as well as the upstairs bathroom) which we like to call the throne room! Our front porch is also waiting to be transformed but will house your outdoor shoes, kids scooters etc perfectly. We have a large back garden with a patio at the top which backs on to the Sussex Downs National Park.
Our lovely cat called Norman also lives here and will be there for the duration of your stay. If you are a cat fan, we would be more than happy for you to keep him fed and watered for us whilst we are away, or if you would prefer, we will have somebody pop in and do it for you.
Please be aware that our house is located on a hill so may not be suitable for less able or elderly people. It is however, great for those who like walking!
Guests are welcome to use any of the facilities in the house. This even includes the musical instruments, although we would ask you to steer clear of the guitar amplifier so as not to annoy the neighbours! The house is set back off from the road and there is plenty of free car parking space on the road.
Interaction with guests
We won't be around during your stay but will ensure the keys get to you on time for your visit. We are also happy to provide a 'breakfast kit' complete with coffee, tea, cereals, jam, marmalade etc.
Other things to note
Our house is still work in progress so whilst the bathroom would not exactly fit in Homes and Gardens magazine, it is clean and functional. And for those of you who like retro, it boasts a peach bathroom sweet! Our front porch is also waiting to be transformed but will house your outdoor shoes, kids scooters etc perfectly.
Whilst you stay with us we would like you to treat our home as your home. There are just a couple of pointers: We live in a family neighbourhood so this is not a 'party' house. We generally keep the noise down after 11pm
Because of our cat i'm afraid we cannot allow other animals.
No smoking inside the house but guests are welcome to smoke outdoors.
