Set in the midst of the beautiful Yealm valley and surrounded by a picturesque carp fishing lake, Sunridge Geodome with private hot tub is a luxury self-catering 10 meter Geodesic dome, based in the majestic South Hams region in Devon.

Perched on its own near the fishing lake this bespoke geodesic holiday retreat is bursting at the seams with pure luxury! Here you can relax and be completely surrounded by all that nature has to offer but without sacrificing the mod cons of home.

The space
Once you step inside this giant, a vast open plan space awaits complete with glorious interiors and high tech thrills - enough to cater for the most modern of travellers and perfect for that romantic geodesic getaway.

From the luxury squidgy sofas you can kick back and relax and take in the breathtaking panoramic vistas of the valley, sometimes complete with fluffy sheep, through the huge geodome window. For stargazers just look up in the upper mezzanine den as we have included a skylight for those astronomers amongst you, or look over the glass balcony and take in the incredible height of the geodome!

A fully fitted contemporary German kitchen is in reach for those wanting to cook up a glamping storm and high end aircon and gas fired central heating throughout will keep your feet warm (or cool) while doing so! Sunridge Geodome have even included an interior bathroom module compete with power shower, sink, towel rail and toilet - so no more running outdoors in the elements when nature makes that call. When its time to put your head down a comfy bed awaits and 2 single sofa beds upstairs for any extra guests that visit.

The 4K Ultra HD 3D cinema snuggery area hosts a huge 4 meter screen and the latest dolby atoms sound system complete with PS4 & XBOX One games consoles. While watching your favourite movies you can curl up on the sofas and gaze out of the windows into the wilderness.

Outside this self catering geodome in Devon is a private sunken hot tub (exclusive to the geodesic dome) complete with mood lighting providing a perfect spot for relaxing amidst the countryside. The generous decked area is located on the far side of the dome for extra privacy and overlooks the sunken valley which has to be seen to be believed. The fishing lake is stocked with an abundance of carp and can be used exclusively between our Sunridge Geodome, Sunridge Treehouse & Sunridge Lodge guests.

The interior is gorgeously modern and vast in size (at 75 square metres). We've kept this Devon geodome open-plan to encompass the panoramic countryside views of the Yealm valley, 'bring the outside in' as it were. Guests really can't ask for a more picturesque backdrop. If you wish to shut yourself away from the outside world you can close the huge drape curtains that cover the entire geodome bay window.

The double bedroom is both plush and intimate and perfect for a romantic getaway. If you’re a family of 4 or want to escape with another couple, the dizzy heights of the glass fronted mezzanine den not only provides a bird’s eye view of the floor space and the rolling lush green fields but offers two pull-out comfy chair beds (bedding or towels are not provided for the chair beds). Both the bedroom and mezzanine den are equipped with smart enabled TV’s.

The cinema snuggery with a gigantic 6-seater horseshoe sofa boasts a 4K Ultra HD 3D projector and the latest Dolby Atmos 9.2 sound system that serves a huge 4 metre screen and if you’d rather play games than watch movies - just fire up the Playstation 4 or Xbox One console and get stuck in. We provide you with a selection of movies and games to get you started but feel free to bring your own. The living room is also furnished with a 55” 4K Ultra HD TV. The smart entertainment hub allows you to route each of the entertainment devices (i.e. Xbox One, etc.) to any of the bedroom or living room TV’s.

The contemporary fully stocked German kitchen is the icing on the cake. Complete with electric oven, electric ceramic hob, fridge, microwave, wine cooler and even a compact dishwasher you really won’t have to compromise on preparing your favourite cuisine.

An en-suite interior bathroom module complete with gas fired power shower, toilet, hand basin and towel rail take away any concerns of embracing the elements and making a mad dash to 'spend a penny'.

Gas fired central heating throughout the interior and a state of the art aircon system will only add to the dramatic atmosphere and will keep you warm (or cool) wherever you are.

Free WIFI means you can hook up to the modern world from anywhere in the geodome (or the surrounding decked area) while absorbing the dramatic views.

Stargazers will be delighted to know we have included an expansive skylight which can be covered over when not in use. Devon is renowned for its unspoilt night sky making this a real treat for the astronomers amongst you.

Sunridge Geodome hosts your very own 4K Ultra HD 3D home cinema in its vast open plan space. Perfect for respite or recreation it is the ideal place to kick back and watch freeview tv or blu-ray movies (on a huge 4 metre screen & 9.2 Dolby Atmos surround-sound system), play games (we have the latest Xbox ONE and PS4 consoles) or simply to cosy-up (or snuggle-down, the choice is yours) on the sprawling, super-comfy sofas and gaze at the panoramic valley view through the geodome bay window. Where you’ll be

Worston, England, United Kingdom

The South Hams is England's most outstanding area of natural beauty and you could be in the heart of it!

Minutes from Sunridge, there are beaches to die for (though we hope it won’t come to that). Many remain virtually deserted all-year round. Some are so beautiful filmmakers fight to put them in their movies. Mothercombe Beach, for example, a mere five minutes from Sunridge Retreats, formed the backdrop for Emma Thompson’s Oscar-winning adaptation of Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility, as did nearby Saltram House, a magnificent Georgian pile, once the largest stately home in Devon. On your doorstep miles and miles of country trails meander along the length of the River Erme. And the dramatic south west coast path continually vouchsafes views that are quite literally breathtaking.

Local villages brim with character and idiosyncratic charm. For the gourmet, food could not be fresher nor more tantalisingly diverse. Sample the vast range of locally grown meat, fish, vegetables and dairy products, all of it of world-class quality. Whether you want pheasant or quail, Sea Bass (my own personal favourite, not that you care a fig for my preferences) or John Dory (who?), free range home-cured bacon or Devonshire clotted cream, it's all here, and just minutes from Sunridge.

This sumptuous corner of Devon preserves a history book’s worth of rural traditions as well as providing manifold opportunities for invigorating leisure activity. Local towns and villages showcase a magnificent range of eighteenth and nineteenth-century architecture, while hundreds of antique shops and boutiques give the region its unique, quintessentially English flavour. You’ll be forgiven for feeling that you've been taken back in time, especially on a chilly winter's night when you’re sat by a crackling fire in the old village pub, slurping the foam off a pint of one of the region’s many internationally acclaimed bespoke ales (I’m getting ‘well jel’ just telling you about it). Down alleyways and under archways of the older villages like Dartmouth you will find a plethora of craft boutiques, patisseries, local jewellers and organic-only butchers and cafes. Take a seat in one of the latter and treat yourself to an authentic Devonshire cream tea made with lashings of jam from locally grown strawberries (the gym can wait, and wait, and wait…) And be assured, the gastro-pubs and restaurants in our region are as accomplished as any you'll find in London, and all of them scarcely a stone’s throw (alright, I’m assuming you’re very good at throwing stones) from your doorstep. Whether you’re dining in Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Modbury, Noss Mayo, or Yealmpton, you’re guaranteed to find stunning (indeed, frequently award-winning) locally-sourced food served with a smile (as opposed to a sneer, as you so often get in benighted regions like London) and accompanied, moreover, by some of the finest sea and river views in the world. What more do you need? Seriously, what more do you need?
