The space

(This apartment can accommodate a maximum of 5 people, but larger groups can rent it in combination with another listing steps away - see end of description.)

Completely refurbished in spring 2014, this both super-cozy and highly functional apartment belongs to my brother-in-law who will use it a few days a month when working in Milan.
It features:
- two bedrooms, both arrangeable as double or twin bedrooms.
- a living room with a table for 6, a single sofa-bed, two armchairs, a small balcony
- a separate live-in fully equipped kitchen with table for 4
- a full bathroom with walk-in shower
- a storage room.
Ideal for two couples or for a up to five members family group, it's located in a charming 19th century building with a friendly feeling.
All light-washed, whereas the two bedrooms overlook the very spacious and beautiful inner courtyard, the living room and kitchen overlook a silent one-way street, facing a most exquisite low liberty style building.
Fully equipped, it has been furnished and decorated with the utmost care, as a firs residence, with a mixture of restored antique and vintage pieces, and some industrial and modern elements.
Shops, supermarkets, park, transportation, etc are all round the corner, within 5' on foot.

The neighborhood is lively and friendly, 15' on foot on Duomo and 5' from Navigli, full of cafés, restaurants, shops etc, still retaining a very genuine feeling even though in the center of Milan.

Groups larger than 5 could be interested in the fact that the apartment is located less than 100 meters from my own "Charming nest in the heart of Milan" (sleeps 5)

This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. Great space and as advertised. Tons of local shops and restaurants and close to the best places to visit in Milan. Fantastic communication and advice from the host. An A+ experience.

Lovely apartment in a great location. Lots to do in evening close by. Marvellous supermarket at end of road. Elena is super helpful. She can always be contacted quickly and communications were very good. We were in Milan for a wedding and we couldn't have asked for a better apartment and host. We felt very safe at night. The apartment is accessed via a stairway which was not an issue for us . It may be for some people!

Everything was just perfect! The flat is exactly as described. The restaurant suggestions in the book were also very useful. Thank you Elena.

I didn't feel as I was staying at a strangers house. From the beginning Elena made sure we were comfortable. She booked us our transporatation to the apartment. Since we were arriving late, she was kind enough to book a fantastic restaraunt close to the apartment and gave us accurate directions on how to get there. What amazed me was that when asking another friend where to eat in Milan out of her suggestion one was what Elena had booked for us on the first now. She was quick to respond when we had a question and needed help. The apartment was well located. It was close enough to Duomo yet far enough to avoid tourist traps. The apartment was clean with comfortable beds, a cozy kitchen and a well lit living room. All the amentities needed for a comfortable stay was available and if anything was missing you could easily communicate with Elena.

This was the second time myself and colleagues stayed at Elena's flat, during Milan Design Week. Once again, we loved it! It's light, clean and so central for walking to the Duomo and nearby Metro station. Elena is incredibly friendly and was on-hand whenever we needed her, diligently providing extra towels and bedding last minute. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in Elena's cosy apartment. It was just as it was described, warm and inviting and very tastefully decorated. Walking distance to everything. Elena was in contact with us to make sure everything went well with our stay. We will be happy to stay here again on our next visit.

Elena User ProfileElena is a superhost.

Easy going, many friends, independent, lived abroad, always loved having guests and making them comfortable, love reading, cooking, networking, sharing, walking, working, the seaside. Mentally dynamic, I dislike hectic pace. I have always worked in the publishing and cultural sector.
In the past yrs I’ve been very active in the hosts’ community. This entailed managing, following Airbnb’s request, Milan Hosts’ social forum for its entire existence; teaching two seminars at Airbnb headquarters in San Francisco during the first AirbnbOpen - annual worldwide convention - in 2014; participating with other eight European leading hosts in the Dublin HQ in the launch of the new site in 2014; moderating the Q&A session with the three founders in Paris at 2015 Open; hosting one of the three founders, etc. I have been an Airbnb evangelist both privately and in press and tv interviews etc. In short: I love hosting, and am also intellectually passionate about the Airbnb phenomenon, that I find most interesting under very many extents!
