Double room, private shower room and private lounge in a Victorian house with lots of character close to station, beach and shops!

The space

The space (bedroom, private living room and private shower room) is in a beautiful large airy Victorian house in a quiet residential area. It's about a 7-10 minute walk from Hastings station, town centre and beach. It's about 15-20 mins walk to the historic old town and about 20 minutes to trendy St Leonards with its quirky shops and restaurants.
The sports facilities of Falaise, Summerfields and Clambers are all within 10-15mins walk.

Guest access

The bedroom has a standard double Victorian style bed with a quality mattress, there is also a triple wardrobe to hang your clothes with drawers. Adjacent there is a shower room and also a private lounge for you to relax after you have come back from exploring Hastings. This lounge which has a large comfy sofa and TV has French doors which open up to a patio area and the garden. There is also a kettle and small fridge to cool drinks.

Interaction with guests

There is always something going on in Hastings/St Leonards such as Jack in the Green, St Leonards festival, the seafood festival, music at the Stade, Coastal Currents and Pirates day. There is generally always someone at home and we are always happy to help you and give you tips about the area but equally appreciate that you have probably come to Hastings to 'getaway' and will respect your space and privacy.

Nicki is an excellent host, she was really helpful in making suggestions for restaurants we could book, providing local information, a taxi telephone number and local map. We chose her Airbnb because it is self-contained, and it didn't disappoint. We had access to her lovely garden with chairs to enjoy the sunshine. We really appreciated the separate sitting room with a mini fridge to keep our wine cool, and the big bathroom for our exclusive use.

Nicki's accommodation was as described with easy access to the town. A spacious place with your own private bathroom, bedroom, lounge (with a TV, min-fridge & kettle) and access to a lovely garden via the lounge. Nicki was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Nicola's place provided us with very comfortable accommodation for our over night stay in an annex of her beautiful Victorian town house. The sitting room with its large comfy couch, TV, tea/coffee making facilities looked onto a colourful and well tended garden and the french doors opened up onto a small immaculate patio area complete with pots of flowers and shrubs and a couple of chairs. The bedroom was also light and airy and it had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in. The bathroom was spacious, the shower worked well, towels were provided and like the rest of the annex, everywhere was clean, tidy and very welcoming.

I've been in Hastings now for nearly 10 years and love it. It's a fun and exciting place to live with lots of interesting people. The town is small enough at times to feel like a village in that you are constantly bumping into people. Prior to Hastings I've lived in London, Amsterdam and Paris, I love travelling and the house does tend to have the odd thing I just couldn't leave behind from trips. I'm very multicultural and love tasting new dishes, world music and cinema.
