This is a historic house situated in beautiful location near the shores of Loch Broom. The location is often used as a setting off point for climbers and ramblers heading to the nearby (Munro) mountains and hill lochs, which are great to swim in during warmer weather.

The Grey House (which is actually white) is a traditional yet modernised highland cottage located six miles south of Ullapool on a working farm.

It is one of the oldest buildings in the area and is situated in the middle of the Broom valley. Built in 1735 it has fantastic views in all directions.

Bedroom 1 sleeps up to three people in a king double/twin & separate single.
Bedroom 2 sleeps up to 2 people in a king double.
It also has a modern bathroom, central heating and a cosy wood burning stove.
River fishing for trout, sea trout and salmon on the Lael & Broom rivers can also be let by the day.

The first bedroom can either be set up as a king size double and one single OR as three singles.
Please contact to say a what bed arrangements you would like, including the numbers of people staying.

The second bedroom sleeps up to 2 people in a Kingsize bed with Hypnos mattress.

For history enthusiasts the Grey House was built in the 18C, ten years before the battle of Culloden and was the clan chief of Mackenzie’s west coast property in Loch Broom. The area and the property was very much involved in the Jacobite rebellion, and is steeped in history.

The Grey House has recently been renovated and is a warm and cosy house with comfortable beds and great views, within easy access of the tourist destination and fishing village of Ullapool.
