Cosy private suite at the end of our C17th House. Private entrance, a snug bedroom / lounge complete with a mini kitchen, wood burner and french doors to a small patio next to a stream. The annex also has a shower / wet room.

The space
Annex to a charming 17th century listed property. Private front door, separate wet room with shower and large double bedroom overlooking a small stream. Room is equipped with a TV, fridge, cooker, hob, toaster and (slow) wifi.

Situated in beautiful heathland landscapes on the outskirts of the village of Heyshott, yet only 10 minutes drive from historic Midhurst and 15 minutes from Petworth. In the heart of the South Downs National Park, with local walks right on the doorstep. The South Downs way is a couple of miles away and the Serpent Trail is a hundred yards away. Mountain bikes are available for hire locally.

Amberfold is a great base for Goodwood (7 miles), Cowdray polo (3 miles) and local attractions such as Cowdray Park ruins, Petworth House, the Weald and Downland museum, Chichester and the Coast.

There are several local pubs serving good food and beer including the Unicorn Inn a mile away in Heyshott village, as well as a variety of bars and restaurants in Midhurst.

Bikes are available to hire via a local contact who will deliver bikes to Amberfold ready to hit the road or trail.

Minimum 2 night stay at weekends over the Summer (April to October) – single night stays welcome on weekdays all year and at weekends with a 1 night supplementary charge between November and March.

The rate is for room only. As outlined above, there are facilities to self cater breakfast - fridge, kettle, toaster and tea and coffee provided.

Heyshott is a small West Sussex village on the lower slopes of the South Downs, 4 miles south of Midhurst & east of Cocking. Heyshott was the birthplace of Richard Cobden, the leader of the Anti-corn law league, his regular pew is marked by a small plaque in the 13th century village church of St James.

Every November, for over 55 years, hundreds of visitors have annually flocked here for it’s popular village Bonfire and Firework display.
