Stay in a Norwegian historical farm.

The charming farm Wesseltunet is surrounded by fields on all sides and has buildings dating back to the 18th century, all placed around a traditional idyllic courtyard.

Only 10 minutes from Blaafarveværket and one hour from Oslo.

The space
The traditional log house was originally build in early 19th century and has been carefully restored to keep its historical charm.

The house is kept in a authentic style, giving guests the feeling of stepping back in time, yet with modern amenities.

The ground floor has a hallway, bathroom with wc, kitchen and a combined living and dining room with a large open fireplace. Direct access to a balcony and garden, complete with garden furniture for al fresco dining. There’s also an outdoor traditional Norwegian fire pit “bålpanne” with seating, to enjoy all year round.

1st floor has a hallway, bathroom with shower and washing machine. There are three bedrooms, one with direct access to a large balcony with morning sun. Bedlinen and towels are included in the rent.

Stay warm and comfortable as the old house has been upgraded with double glazed windows and doors as well as heating throughout the house.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove and oven, dishwasher, fridge and a small freezer. There’s a cafetière for coffee making. In addition we have a wood fired historical stove on which you can make traditional Norwegian waffles. Ask us for recipe!

The house has Wifi. There’s no separate office space, but a home office is easily set up by the large dining table, to work remotely with fast broadband.

There are two parking spaces outside the house. For further parking spaces, please ask. Please note we have no electrical vehicles charging point on the farm.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole house. The host lives in a separate house on the farm. We hope you will enjoy both the house and the garden!

In addition, we have a 'stabbur' a converted farm building that can accommodate up to 8 people. This is especially popular for a unique experience! Additional fee and availability only upon request.

We do have a traditional bread oven on the farm as well that can be rented separately. Please mention this in your booking if you are interested!

Other things to note
Excellent for families with young children, for groups going away for the weekend or couples. Well behaved pets are most welcome.

We hope to be able to welcome you to our little farm in Sigdal!
