Great location

Stay in this tastefully renovated medieval tower located in a gorgeous fortified village in the hilly French countryside. Yes, the house was originally built in the XIVth century as a fort. It was restored and decorated in 2018 to include all modern amenities.

The minimalist interior includes rustic farmhouse antiques and comfortable modern furniture.

Views of the (VERY) peaceful, quiet village are spectacular. Enjoy the calm, far away from the noise and city life. This is a place to relax.

The space
This is a special place.

You have access to the entire house.

Our house includes a medieval tower, and several other rooms adjacent to it. A large living/dining room and kitchen with an antique wood stove. 3 bedrooms (one is in the round tower). A comfortable living room with fireplace. And a modern bathroom with spacious shower and towel warmer.

Where you’ll be

Vimenet, Occitanie, France

The house is one of 3 medieval towers built in the XIVth century. 2 are remaining today and you will be staying in one of them. The tiny village of Vimenet (200 souls) is extremely quiet. Tranquility will only be broken by the sound of the church bells, and the occasional cow or sheep.

Yet, the fortified village is gorgeous, nested in the upper hills of Aveyron, far from tourists. A spectacular Roman church. Restored stone houses. Medieval gates. And friendly neighbors.

Note that although the village is peaceful and quiet, you're only a few minutes away from stores and markets, 2 hours away from the beaches of the Languedoc, 1 hour from Aubrac, 1 hour from Larzac, 45 minutes from Gorges du Tarn, and 1 hour from the village of Roquefort (world-famous cheese).

I'm a native of France and a professional chef. My wife Carissa is a Doc. We have 5 children. We love our home and this part of Florida. We don't care much for amusement parks, Orlando, etc... but we value an active lifestyle, nature, the great outdoors, the amazing Florida wildlife, camping, kayaking in the Everglades, the beach, etc... We also rent our spectacular home in the French countryside.
