The space

Our big and loved one bedroom apartment is on the bottom floor of the prettiest house on the street. Wooden floors, bay windows, rose garden, large office, living room, bedroom and kitchen. Enjoy morning coffee in the garden and dinner on the stoops!

Our house is very welcoming to new guests! We have both spent a lot of time abroad and living in suitcases and backpacks when traveling. It surely has its charm to it and it is nice to move and only pack two cardboard boxes and a tote bag.. but there comes a time when you want to unpack your bags and settle in.
When finding a space that makes you feel like you belong you make sure your home reflects that - a home and a belonging.. with inspirations from those seen cities and explored worlds. We hope and believe you will feel at home and enjoying having it as a base for your explorations of San Francisco and the lovely Bay area.

Start your morning with a nice 15 min hike up Bernal Hill where you will find one of the absolute best views of the city! If your are feeling lazy you can hike up the street to baby Bernal in three minutes and see almost the same view from there.
Our house is one block from Precita Park café and they serve great breakfasts and smoothies, lunch and dinner. On a sunny day bring your blanket to Precita Park after picking up some organic strawberries on crazy sale at Hillside Grocery in company with a bottle of bubbles from their wide selection of spirits. For dinners explore the 24th street, Valencia, Potrero or the great restaurants over on Mission street towards the other side of Bernal.

Walking is easy and convienent. There is also buses running on Ceasar Chavez one block from the house as well as on 24th street and the BART which is 15 min walk away.
Street parking is available and it is only a 15 min ride from the airport.

We loved staying in Emmet's home. We much prefer Air bnb that are people's homes and this was very much a family home which we loved. It's only an hour long interesting walk into San Francisco centre, & a 10min drive, but the neighbourhoods of Mission and Castro are all just minutes walk away. The home is very clean and fully equipped.. Thanks for letting us share your home.

Lovely, charming apartment that was just as cozy as the listing promised. Emmet made everything about the stay easy from arrival to connecting to the wifi. A great value in SF!

We had such a wonderful stay in Emmet's home! It's decorated so beautifully and we were quick to feel comfortable in their intimate home. Excellent location with beautiful parks, restaurants, and bars close by.

This place was amazing! I thought for sure it couldn't be as awesome as the pictures, but if possible, it was even better. Emmet was a wonderful host and everything went very smoothly. Will definitely be booking again!

We had a great time at Emmet's cozy place! It's almost too cozy, we had a hard time leaving the house on rainy days. Great location close to Mission and quiet neighborhood. We loved staying here!

I loved the sunlight - bright in the wide-open back in the morning at the kitchen table and bright through the front windows later. And very airy, too. Open that back door and enjoy! The positioning was great. Easy access to freeway (if you need) even though it was, and felt like, a quiet neighborhood steps away from the Mission District. Before I arrived the host was very helpful - we even received a video via iPhone. While my companion felt that the house was too cluttered and busy with all the little trinkets of someone else's home, I felt the opposite of her. I really liked that I felt like I was staying in a very homey setting and definitely not a place that obviously felt like an investment property with that sparse, general admission furnishing. This was a great place. I felt comfy in a home-like atmosphere.

Staying at Emmet's place was very nice. The place gave us the feeling of being part of the city for one week. The recommendations of Emmet and the Landlord were off the standard touristic sites. The apartment was very clean and we immediately felt like being home.

I'm a 32 year old Swede who left Gothenburg for Graphic Design studies in Hamburg, followed by six months in San Francisco and an internship in Buenos Aires for another three months. While living in SF I fell head over heels in love with the city. So love brought me back to the States in November 2010 and has kept me since. For the past three years I worked full time as a preschool teacher at the Scandinavian School in SF. In 2015 I started a 100% organic and vegetarian food program for preschools and aside of managing and running that I do a lot of crafting. I also love to do yoga, go on road trips with my love, spending time with my friends and thrift store shop. I also enjoy camping, baking, to draw, making cards and most of all - to travel. :) In 2015 our daughter Alma Rue was born so of course now most of our time goes to care for her :)
Looking forward meeting you somewhere, sometime!
