High quality furnished studio apartment in the city center, few minutes walk away from the main pedestrian, yet in a quiet and nice street. Close to grocery stores, restaurants and pickup for experiences.

Kitchen and bathroom with all facilities. Very comfortable bed and a dining area in the living space. Perfect for solo travelers or couples.

Access to a balcony (half) with beautiful views over the city skyline, the surrounding mountains and Northern Lights if weather conditions are met.

The space
A smart and well-featured studio apartment, that has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Fully equipped Kitchen with all the kitchenware you need to prepare every meal of the day, including a stove top, oven, water kettle, fridge with a freezer unit and more.

Living space has a very comfortable double bed, with extended leg-height so you easily can slide away you luggage when its not used, and a small dining space for two guests. Room darkening blinds in the room. Duvet, pillow and linens are provided for each guest.

Bathroom with a toilet, shower, sink and a mirror. Dispenser for shower-gel/shampoo available in the shower. Towel-set of small and large towels are provided for each guest.

The kitchen has an added drawer-unit where some of the drawers are meant as a dresser. This studio is designed with simplicity and smart solutions in mind.

Even though our housing are self-contained we'll provide you with some toilet papers rolls, dishwasher detergent, cloths etc, so the first thing you don't have to do is to rush out and shop necessities - and you can always order more delivered to your doorstep, if you need it.

Guest access
Guests have full and private access to the studio apartment. The main entrance is shared with the owner, but you have a lockable and private (insurance qualified) entrance door to the studio itself.

The half balcony is shared with the other residents..

Friendly and nice condo, mostly with local residents, located at a quiet street with low traffic. Closest supermarket is no more than a two minute walk down the hill (260 meter away), the closest bus stop with direct connection to/from the airport is one street above (250 meters away) and the bus/boat terminal (800 meters away) for long distance connections is just in the center where you can get to anywhere from. Very close to all the popular pickup points.

Hi, I'm Joachim Giæver, and I'm a host from Tromsø under the name Giæver Vertskap (means: Hosting). Giæver Vertskap was established in 2017 with a vision to create better experiences for guests in Tromsø. I started small, in our guest room, in 2013 and has since welcomed guests from all over the world. I was thus one of the very first Airbnb hosts in Tromsø. This type of hosting was considered a niche, but I quickly realized that my passion was to always believe in the concept. The feedback from guests confirmed that there was a need in the market, and we are proud to have been invited by Airbnb to Paris to represent Airbnb Open in 2015 – an event for hosts from all over the world. This provided important lessons and motivation to invest in this market. When tourism began to pick up speed in the 2016/2017 season, there were consequently many people who took an interest in Airbnb. In this context, I was contacted based on guests’ feedback on my profile. The season of 2016/2017 was in many ways the birth of the company, which at this point had seven rental units. In line with demand, the company has since then increased, both in scope, but not least in experience and expertise. Based on the genuine interest of the guest’s total experience, and not least our own passion, we have our own experiences from trips, experiences and accommodation that we recommend. We do this to ensure that the products and services we offer are in line with our vision and our original concept. Today, Giæver Vertskap has a number of varied housing units in and around the Tromsø region. The company is professional and well thought out in all aspects of the business, and I am is still active in the operation, also in the relationship with guests. The experience is that it is still the most important factor; Namely, to be a good host for Tromsø’s visitors. Hope to host you!
