Great location

Just a few minutes walk from the unique and atmospheric Clava Cairns, inspiration behind Craigh Na Dun of Outlander, on the banks of the river Nairn and under the Culloden Viaduct. Easy walking distance from Culloden Battlefield. Deer and wild birds visit often. Crafted in wood, inspired by Scotland, Scandinavia and nature.

The space
**Please ensure you are meeting all the COVID-19 regulations in place at the time of your trip in order to visit our area**

We are delighted to offer our newly created, ecologically friendly, “tiny house” converted from a small fully insulated former office (with electric heating).

The room and adjoining compost toilet are situated at the rear of our garage and have private access with a private designated parking space.

Please note there is NO shower at the tiny house and the pump sink runs cold water (kettle for boiling water is available, our solar panels offset the electricity used).

The room...

The double Murphy bed folds away in the morning to free up space for breakfast at the fold-down table and chairs.

Water is pumped from a clean tank to a custom made timber sink inside the tiny house for dishes and washing, with a large urn of drinking water provided.

There is a fridge, microwave/grill, kettle and toaster so you will be able to create basic meals for yourself if you bring along some groceries (two huge tesco stores within about 10 min drive, two decent Coop stores within less). Bread and porridge are provided for breakfast. Milk, butter/spread and jams will be in the fridge. Dairy-free spread and oat milk are available.

The toilet is a custom designed Wee Hoose compost toilet, which saves thousands of litres of water a year. It is situated in an adjoining room directly outside the tiny house and it should be noted that the toilet room will be cold during the winter months as it is not heated.*

The river Nairn is so close you will be able to hear it from the room. The arches of the viaduct are only a few hundred metres from the room entrance. There is a lovely river walk circuit nearby to enjoy both.

Clava Cairns is a short stroll away so can be visited as often as you like to fully absorb the atmosphere and watch the changing light on the stones.

We love where we live and we are sure you will too!

*please note there is no shower at the Tiny House!!
