Beautiful country cottage set in a rural landscape with lovely gardens, well equipped open plan kitchen/lounge with slate floors, underfloor heating & log stove , dog friendly. Lovely large sun terrace at the front of the cottage for relaxing with a glass of wine or alfresco dining. Good walking trails nearby & 5 mins drive to both the Tweed & Teviot for fishing, Kelso town is a 5 mile drive away with many places to visit, Kelso abbey, Floors castle & gardens & plenty of shops, bars & bistro’s.

The space
3 double or twin bedrooms (1 situated on ground level) 2 en-suite 1 with adjoining private bathroom, open plan kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Underfloor heating, log burning stove, with plentiful supply of logs. Tv with Netflix. Free Wifi. 30mx10m terrace to front, with a firepit and BBQ, fuel supplied for both. Plenty of private parking and gardens to the front of the cottage.

Guest access
Gated private drive to the car park and gardens with steps up to the terrace to the front of the cottage. For Guests with limited mobility, alternative arrangements can be made. 2 small steps at the front door of the cottage.

Other things to note
The courtyard situated at the rear of the cottage is private and used by the owners.

The Scottish Borders are quietly beautiful, steeped in history with many ruined castles and houses to visit, or hop on the train at Tweedbank and visit Edinburgh. If you love country sports, shooting, golfing, fishing or just want to kayak down the Teviot, it’s the place for you. Cycling is very popular here, with the tour of Britain regularly holding stages through the Borders and if you like to get in the saddle there’s plenty of bridal paths to choose.
Little border towns & villages filled with cosy pubs & coffee shops with a distinctly laidback feel. Sunlawshill cottage is situated halfway between Kelso and Jedburgh an ideal location to visit All the attractions of the Borders. David & Shirley, the owners, are friendly & helpful hosts happy to make your stay a memorable one.
