In Helmata, a suburb of Argostoli, the capital city of Kefalonia, Virginia is nested on the hillside overlooking the valley and mountains. Part of our family building, Virginia is a full floor luxurious apartment that can be a home away from home for your family or group of friends.
Four spacious bedrooms, large interiors and open verandas to enjoy the view. A perfect spot for an amazing relaxed vacation experience and authentic taste of Kefalonia and true Greek hospitality.

The space
Virginia is an ideal house for families or large groups of up to eight. On the first floor of our family building, spanning around 180sqm (1900sqft) plus lots of balconies and verandas all around, it sports four bedrooms, a large living room and kitchen and two bathrooms.
Three bedrooms have queen beds and one a double bed, dressers and lots of storage in wardrobes. They are all separately air conditioned and all have access to the balconies. There are two bathrooms with showers.
The kitchen is fully equipped for any self-catering stay. It has all essential appliances (full size stove & oven, dish washer, fridge, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker, microwave and even a small mixer for Greek ice coffee-Frape) and of course all necessary pots, pans, cooking tools, cutlery, dinnerware and lots of storage for pantry items. You can prepare any meal for your group in here easily.
The living room can fit many people and has a TV if you ever want to hang out inside. There is also a dining area with a dining table for six or eight. The fireplace can be of help if you visit us during winter.
The house is surrounded by balconies. There is one spanning the whole north side of the house overlooking the valley and the Aenos mountain range beyond. It goes all around that side and can be accessed from the bedrooms. There is also a veranda up front, where you exit from the living room and overlooks the garden. Both the veranda and the balconies have plenty of room and have been setup so you can sit and relax, have your meal or drinks here instead of inside.
Our garden, with its lemon trees and many flowers is there to overload your senses and soothe and calm you at the same time. You can come down and walk around the trees, use the barbeque or just smell the flowers. Or sit above in the veranda and just rest your eyes on its colorful arrangement.
Spacious and well designed, carefully furnished and comfortable our house invites you to have a proper experience of Greece and Kefalonia.

Helmata is a suburb of Argostoli, the capital and main city of the island. We are situated on the hills to the east, over the city and the valley. Less than 5’ drive from downtown, about 3km from city center, it grew from a few farmers houses into a full suburb by people who wanted some more space while staying close to the city. Well the panoramic views didn’t hurt either. Staying here, gives you full access to the whole city, with all its perks. You can drive to Lassi with its multiple well-known beaches and its lane of dozens of shops, restaurants and hotels. Or you can go straight downtown Argostoli, to the market for shopping, the square or seafront for coffee or dinner. All of the choice is at your disposal exactly as if you were staying in town, while you get to come back, relax and enjoy it from afar without the traffic and crowds.
