This gives the flat a bright and airy feel which is perfect for summer. The room faces onto the garden at the rear of the property so is quiet and private.

Guests are welcome to treat the house as if it were their own. We will be staying nearby so are available if needed and happy to provide local knowledge. Other residents will give guests privacy.

The neighbourhood

Situated off the West End's most popular road, the flat is ideally located between the best of what the West has to offer (Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Museum, Kelvingrove Park, shops and cafes) and a 15 minute walk to the city centre.

Brilliant spot. I stayed here for work for an extended period and Suzy & Phil were super-helpful and chill. The flat itself is fantastic, plenty of space and lovely high ceilings. Thoroughly recommended!

As someone who had just moved to Glasgow to work and was in the middle of house-hunting, Suzy and Phil's room was an ideal base and retreat! As hosts they were very accommodating, generous and flexible with check-in and check-out times, and easily contactable throughout my stay. The room was spacious and clean with high ceilings and plenty of storage. The place itself is perfectly located, close to town with plenty of local cafe and night life ,and the gorgeous Kelvingrove Park and Kelvin River only a short walk away. Highly recommend!

I stayed here a month while working in Glasgow. Thanks to Suzy, who was waiting for us upon our late arrival and gave us tips on what to do in Glasgow. And thank you to Phil, who helped with all my questions during the stay. You are both great and friendly hosts! The apartment and the room are pretty much as in the description and photos: high ceilings and a quiet, spacious room. I’d gladly recommend it even for longer stays. Some art or pictures might be nice to have on the walls, though. Brighten it up a bit :) The location is excellent especially if you are visiting the University of Glasgow or just want to be close to the West End. You'll get to the city center in no time as well. If you prefer walking, as I do, it’s a 30 minutes walk downtown. Sharing the apartment with two other flat mates living in the apartment was no problem since both were quiet and kept the common areas tidy. The apartment has a heating system and although it wasn’t cold outside yet at the time of my stay (September-October), it did get a bit nippy in the room during nights. Long sleeved pajamas (or an extra quilt) might be good for those staying during the winter months! And since it is getting colder outside, we did see a mouse in the apartment. Just so you know if you are scared of rodents. After that one sighting no more mice were seen during my stay and Phil put up a trap. :) The kitchen was airy and you had a washing machine for your clothes. There was no microwave which was a bit surprising, so all food had to heated up on the stove. The stove worked nicely (didn’t test the oven), but you could still get someone to take a look at it since there obviously is some connection problem or something else wrong with it. All in all, a great experience even if small amendments could be made. Nothing major! I would gladly stay at Suzy’s & Phil’s the next time I’m in Glasgow. Thank you!

The reply to our booking request was prompt and everything was arranged within a couple of hours. Suzy & Phil were very accommodating and flexible with our arrival times. Listing was exactly as promised, Suzy & Phil were lovely and welcoming. They knew the area well, and had some great recommendations that suited is brilliantly. Flat itself was great, quiet and had plenty of space. Had all the amenities you'd want. It's situated in an absolutely brilliant area; extremely close to transport links, has nice shops and places to eat / drink nearby, a beautiful park, and it felt safe both in the day and night. Overall staying here definitely improved our experience of Glasgow and we would certainly recommend it.

We like dancing, art, movies, cycling, the World Cup and Italo disco. Our favourite countries (apart from Scotland!) are Germany, France, Thailand and the rest of the UK. We are relaxed, friendly and helpful hosts who enjoy sharing our inside knowledge of the city.
